The invention provides an energy-saving control method of
wireless access points (AP) of a
wireless local area network (WLAN)
system, and belongs to the technical field of communication. According to the scheme, the energy-saving mode of AP
hibernation-wakeup is mainly employed,
hibernation APs are selected based on network real-
time perception data, the access selection problem of a new AP of the
hibernation APs during unloading of a user is optimized through a reverse auction access AP
selection algorithm, and the optimization of the
energy consumption of the WLAN
system is achieved. The method includes: firstly measuring the
energy consumption of AP equipment, and determining an AP hibernation-wakeup threshold through a marginal
effect analysis of the
energy consumption; then sensing the network load state in real time through a central controller, obtaining an associative matrix of users and APs, and establishing a relation model between the energy consumption, the coverage and the user QoE and AP selection; and finally completing the access selection of accessing to the new AP of a to-be-unloaded user based on a reverse auction
algorithm to realize hibernation of idle APs in the
system. According to the method, the
wireless coverage and the user QoE are satisfied, and the energy consumption of the WLAN system brought by redundant APs can be effectively reduced.
