Electric fan speed governing control system and method

The invention relates to a control system for automatically and manually adjusting the speed of an electric fan according to the ambient environment temperature and the maintaining temperature set by users. In an automatic speed control mode of the invention, the zero-cross detection circuit outputs a zero-cross voltage signal of the input voltage to a singlechip which outputs a control level to conduct controlled silicon after delaying a certain time by taking the signal as a reference point of time and utilizing fast switching property of the unidirectional controlled silicon. According to the result which is collected by a temperature sensor circuit by comparing the ambient environment temperature and the maintaining temperature set by users, the singlechip automatically adjusts the speed of the electric fan by changing the conduction angle of the unidirectional controlled silicon to automatically adjust the AC power output, so that the ambient temperature can be maintained at the maintaining temperature set by users. In a manual mode, the user can make a stepless speed regulation to the electric fan by using input keys and an output display circuit. The control system is stable in circuit, simple in structure and high in control precision.

A cooling apparatus for automotive use wherein speed of an electric cooling fan is controlled solely at a predetermined speed. When a relay switch is switched on, voltage of a battery is applied to a lag circuit. Output of the lag circuit is applied to a gate G of a MOS transistor, but rise of the gate-applied voltage is delayed by the lag circuit according to a time constant thereof, and increases slowly. When the gate-applied voltage reaches the threshold voltage of the MOS transistor, the MOS transistor begins to switch on. However, when the gate-applied voltage is low, the drain current flowing through the MOS transistor is limited and thereby surge current at the motor is minimized.

By adopting the electric fan vibration fault detection method and the electric fan vibration fault detection device, the precision of information extraction can be improved, and the reliability of vibration analysis is further improved.

A portable device that is placed between the ambient air outside an existing enclosed space and the existing enclosed space that pulls the ambient air through an interchangeable array of air cleaning modules and delivers the cleaned air from the air cleaning modules into the existing enclosed space. The air cleaning modules are disposed outside the existing enclosed space so that only cleaned air is drawn into the existing enclosed space. The air cleaning modules can also be capped for easy and safe disposal after use. The air cleaning modules are in fluid communication with an electric fan that is disposed inside the existing enclosed space through an air flow inlet that is part of an expandable window insert.
