472 results about "Second rib" patented technology

The second rib is the second uppermost rib in humans or second most frontal in animals that walk on four limbs. In humans the second rib is defined as a true rib since it connects with the sternum through the intervention of the costal cartilage anteriorly (at the front).

Racks having swivel arms for supporting tools

A tool rack according to one embodiment generally includes a base for mounting the tool rack to a support surface. The base includes first and second spaced-apart ribs or flanges extending outwardly therefrom. The first rib has at least one aperture therein concentrically aligned with at least one aperture of the second rib. The tool rack also includes at least one arm. The arm includes a support rod having first and second spaced-apart end portions coaxially aligned with one other. The support rod's first and second end portions are respectively configured to be slidably positioned at least partially within the at least one aperture in the first rib and the at least one aperture in the second rib. Accordingly, the arm can be pivotally supported from the base such that the arm can swivel relative to the base.

Corrugated fin heat exchanger and method of manufacture

A heat exchanger includes a corrugated metal sheet comprising a first side having a plurality of first troughs alternating with a plurality of first peaks, and a second side having a plurality of second troughs alternating with a plurality of second peaks, each trough being formed by a pair of walls, each wall separating the first side from the second side and extending from a first peak to a second peak, the troughs and peaks extending in parallel and defining a longitudinal direction. Each first peak is formed with at least one depression, the depressions in respective peaks being aligned to form at least one tube-receiving channel extending transversely to the longitudinal direction. Each depression has a contact surface formed in the first side and extending laterally over each adjacent first trough. A tube section is received in each tube-receiving channel in substantially conforming contact with the contact surfaces. The heat exchanger is manufactured using first and second fixtures having first and second sets of parallel ribs which are received in respective second and first troughs of the corrugated sheet. The first peaks are formed downward using a mandrel received through windows interrupting the second ribs, the depressions being formed in corresponding notches in the first ribs.

Inflatable ball with rib structure

An inflatable ball includes interconnected first and second half ball bodies. The first half ball body has a first half ball wall with first inner and outer wall surfaces, and a first rib structure formed as one piece with the first half ball wall and projecting from one of the first inner and outer wall surfaces. The first half ball wall has a through hole extending through the first inner and outer wall surfaces, and a first annular connecting edge interconnecting circumferential ends of the first inner and outer wall surfaces. The second half ball body has a second half ball wall with second inner and outer wall surfaces, and a second rib structure projecting from one of the second inner and outer wall surfaces. A valve unit is attached to the first half ball body in connection with the through hole.

Wall system, mounting plate and insert

An assembly for a framed system includes an elongated post and a mounting plate shaped for installation in a post channel of the elongated post. The elongated post includes a first rib integrated along an inner surface of the first lateral side and an elongated second rib integrated along an inner surface of the second lateral side. The mounting plate includes an aperture for receiving the fastener and includes a first slot for receiving the first rib and a second slot for receiving the second rib. When the mounting plate is installed in the post channel, the first and second ribs are deformed by the installation of the mounting plate such that the deformed first and second ribs retain the mounting plate in the post channel.
