Light-emitting heat treatment apparatus

Annular reflecting rings are removably mounted on the upper and lower sides of a chamber side portion of a chamber. An annular recessed portion is formed sandwiched between the lower end face of the upper reflecting ring and the upper end face of the lower reflecting ring to surround a holding part for holding a semiconductor wafer. The outer peripheral surface of the recessed portion communicates with a transport opening. The formation of the recessed portion prevents the light emitted from halogen lamps and flash lamps from being non-uniformly reflected around the holding part to enter a semiconductor wafer, thus improving the uniformity of the in-plane temperature distribution in the semiconductor wafer during heat treatment.

Risk Adaptive Information Flow Based Access Control

Systems and methods are provided to manage risk associated with access to information within a given organization. The overall risk tolerance for the organization is determined and allocated among a plurality of subjects within the organization. Allocation is accomplished using either a centralized, request / response or free market mechanism. As requested from subjects within the organization for access to objects, i.e. information and data, are received, the amount of risk or risk level associated with each requested is quantified. Risk quantification can be accomplished using, for example, fuzzy multi-level security. The quantified risk associated with the access request in combination with the identity of the object and the identity of the subject are used to determine whether or not the request should be granted, denied or granted with appropriated mitigation measures.

Recording disk drive

InactiveUS20060215328A1Reliably holding swinging movementReliably holding the swinging movement of the head actuator memberDisposition/mounting of recording headsRecord information storageActuatorHead parts
A lever and a weight are supported on a first shaft for swinging movement in a latch mechanism. The weight gets closer to a head actuator member based on swinging movement in a first direction. A restriction member restricts the swinging movement of the weight in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A swinging member is contacted with the lever swinging around the first shaft so that the swinging member gets into a predetermined path of the head actuator member through the swinging movement around the second shaft. The disk drive always allows the weight, the lever and the swinging member to start swinging from corresponding inoperative positions, even if the disk drive suffers from a sequential driving force in opposite directions due to impact. A head slider at the tip end of the head actuator member is reliably prevented from colliding against the disk.
