A MOS transistor includes a gate structure extending forrom a semiconductor substrate in a vertical direction is disclosed. The gate structure includes a gate electrode extending from the substrate in a vertical direction, and a gate insulation layer enclosing the gate electrode. A channel pattern encloses the gate insulation layer, and a first conductive pattern extends from a lower portion of the channel pattern in a first direction verticalperpendicular to the channel pattern and in parallel with the substrate. A second conductive pattern extends from an upper portion of the channel pattern in a second direction verticalperpendicular to the channel pattern and in parallel with the substrate. Accordingly, the channel length of the MOS transistor is determined by a distance between the first and second conductive patterns, and a channel width of the MOS transistor is determined by a diameter of the gate structure. Short channel and narrow width effects are sufficiently prevented in a MOS transistor.

An improved process for permanently attaching an overlay to a wheel disc, wherein the overlay is aligned and spaced apart from the wheel disc. A mold is created by a combination of the overlay, wheel disc and localized nests that engage at predetermined times during foam filling to close the mold. The mold is adequately sealed so that there is no foam leakage as the foam expands to fill the mold and, therefore, no final trimming of excess foam is required. The improved process is capable of accommodating a wheel having turbine openings therein.

A door lock system for enclosures is provided which includes a screw drive mechanism releasably mounted on a back plate member and coupled via threads to a threaded locking member to linearly drive the locking member to engage with a receptor on an enclosure frame to lock the enclosure. A controller unit has an integrated circuit configured to control the operation of the screw drive mechanism and report the status of the door to a central location. A position switch is used to indicate whether the door is open or closed so that the controller unit can automatically engage the screw drive mechanism to lock the door after a preset time delay. A keypad allows a user to enter a code to unlock the door. A radio in the controller unit permits wireless communication to report status and to allow central command control over the doors.

The present solar light assembly uses a unique solar light box that has an upper step which visually frames a lower step. The lower step has a deep cavity that houses most of the components of the solar light assembly, such as an LED light source and a 12 volt battery. The upper step conceals the solar panel from view by a passerby. A circuit that efficiently prevents the turning on of the synchronous rectifier in a buck converter during a predetermined condition, so as to prevent current reversing through the synchronous rectifier during that time. In one embodiment, the circuit provides control of the synchronous rectifier during the soft-start time for a non-isolated DC-DC buck converter, thereby preventing current reversing (sinking), referred to as the back bias condition, during its soft start process. In another embodiment, a circuit uses a signal indicative of a soft-start condition for a converter to prevent the turning on of the synchronous rectifier during the soft-start time. Electronic lock

The present invention provides an electronic lock structured to include a first bolt configured with an elastic clasp, an electromagnetic device connected to an input device, a second bolt and a microswitch connected to a security system, all of which are installed interior of a housing of the electronic lock. The elastic clasp is retained by a protruding edge of the housing, thereby disenabling the first bolt from an arbitrary retracting movement that would otherwise render the lock incapable of being unlocked. The input device controls the electromagnetic device to induce the elastic clasp and release a retaining state, and then directly rotating a rotating button causes a retracting movement of the first bolt and unlocking of the electronic lock, which simultaneously disconnects the security system. After unlocking, a front end of the second bolt protrudes out from the housing, whereupon a protruding base of the second bolt is used to press a steel ball, thereby enabling the second bolt to form a substantially stable position, which ensures effective prevention of mistaken locking and avoids forgetting to lock. Moreover, when in a locked state, the second bolt retracts within the housing and triggers the microswitch to activate the security system, thereby providing the present invention with security and convenience of operation.
