Low temperature cooler

The invention is directed to a low-temperature cooler using dry ice as a cooling agent. The cooler has two compartments, one for the dry ice and one for chilled storage. The cooler self-regulates via an aqueous filled temperature-regulating valve to maintain a desired temperature in the storage compartment such that the products stored therein are stored at an optimum temperature. Upon achieving a predetermined temperature in the storage compartment, the valve closes, thereby maintaining the predetermined temperature in the storage compartment.

Universally accessible encrypted internet file system for wired and wireless computing devices supplanting synchronization, backup and email file attachment

This Internet based file system allows various wired and wireless computation devices such as personal computers, laptop computers, tablet computers, cell phones, and any other Internet connected devices to manage their files in their native method, however, the invention inserts itself into the operating system and creates a caching and encrypting system that maintains the files on an Internet server. All registered devices share the same files, supplanting the need for file and data synchronization, and backing up files. Many users may belong to this service, a user of the system may“share” any or all of their files (data) with any other user of the system, allowing instant access to that user, which supplants the need for email attachments, large file-sending websites or the sending physical media.Invention also includes the ability to stop data to devices when they're lost or stolen, data inheritance, restoring lost data and moving data from the Internet server onto physical storage mediums.

Liquid dispenser and flexible bag therefor

A liquid dispenser uses a flexible bag having expansible and collapsible cells. A rigid manifold, and in one instance a rigid frame is provided in the bag to keep passages open in use and to isolate one of the cells from the remaining cells. The dispenser employs an efficient and quiet air pressure operating system. In one application, a concentrated drink mix may be held in a reservoir and diluted within other cells in the bag for dispensing to a cup or the like. A valve system allows for the particulates in the liquid without compromising the function of the valve.

Multi functional pump for pumping molten metal

The present invention features a multi-functional pump for pumping molten metal, which includes a base that is submerged in molten metal having at least two impeller chambers. The base includes one or more inlet openings and one or more outlet openings. Each outlet opening leads from one of the impeller chambers. The invention enables the impeller to be moved to a position to rotate in either impeller chamber or while straddling impeller chambers. This enables the pump to have the versatility to operate in a circulation mode; a transfer mode; two or more circulation modes; two or more transfer modes; and a combination of transfer and circulation modes. The impeller chambers can be stacked over each other and the impeller can be moved vertically in and between impeller chambers. Inventive vaned or barrel type impellers can be used to facilitate pumping while straddling impeller chambers, in view of an elongated bearing member on the impeller that maintains position relative to a bearing ring attached to the base or an inlet protector sleeve. The multifunctional pump of the invention enables infinite adjustment of the impeller using a programmable logic controller that results in positioning of the impeller at any of various locations in the base to achieve any desired output. The inventive pump is ideally suited for use in die casting and scrap submergence applications. Also featured is a method of operating the multifunctional pump of the present invention.

Passive syrup delivery system

A pump transfers syrup through a supply line and through a valve assembly for mixing with ice cream in a mixing chamber to form a frozen dessert or milkshake. When the syrup flows through the passive valve, the pressure along the supply line increases. When syrup delivery is complete, a first timer is initiated to dispense ice cream into the mixing chamber for 0.4 seconds to flush out any remaining syrup. A second timer is also initiated when the syrup delivery is complete to reverse the pump for 0.2 seconds to remove the residual pressure in the supply line. By removing the residuals pressure, syrup in the supply line is prevented from oozing out of the valve apparatus and into the mixing chamber.

Cooking device

Provided is a cooking device, which while having a simple configuration is capable of limiting oxidation of food and of processing food while limiting excessive increases in pressure inside the cooking device. A cooking device (1) for processing food inside an evacuated receptacle space (S) using a processing tool (61) for food processing, the processing tool (61) being disposed in the receptacle space (S) and rotated by a motor (9), and the cooking device being provided with a driving device (closing member) (2) and a check valve (23). The driving device (2) opens and closes the receptacle space (S). When the receptacle space (S) that has been closed by the driving device (2) is evacuated, the check valve (23) allows outflow of air from the receptacle space (S) to the outside and stops the reverse flow of air after evacuation.

Aerosol patient preparatory applicator

An applicator for an anti-microbial solution includes an aerosol container and an applicator pad assembly having a hollow arm. The hollow arm has a proximal end attached to an aerosol cap and a distal end having a flanged arm plate to receive a foam applicator pad. The aerosol cap is removably attached to the aerosol container. A solution flow control is in communication with the aerosol container for selectively dispensing the anti-microbial solution. The aerosol container holds the anti-microbial solution under pressure and flow is controlled by a pressure-sensitive flow control tab. The control tab activates the flow of the anti-microbial solution from the aerosol container through the hollow handle to the foam pad and then to the patient. The control tab may be actuated by touch or by pressure applied to the applicator pad. An optional flow control feature, in addition to the control tab, is a slit formed in the foam pad. The slit is designed so that it remains closed when no pressure is exerted on the distal surface of the foam pad. However, when pressure is exerted on the distal surface of the foam pad, such as when the applicator is pressed against a patient's skin, the slit opens to allow the anti-microbial solution to flow past the slit into the foam pad. There the anti-microbial solution can be easily distributed over the patient's skin by the foam pad. When a sufficient amount of the anti-microbial solution has flowed into the foam pad, the healthcare professional can release the pressure sensitive control tab to stop the flow of anti-microbial solution out of the aerosol container.
