The present invention relates to an air cleaner capable of quickly cleaning air in a larger area in an improved air circulation construction in which a body of an air cleaner is formed in a cylindrical shape, and air is sucked through an entire surface of a cylindrical body, and the sucked air is passed through a cylindrical filter and a cleaning unit, and the cleaned air is discharged in an upward direction, and in addition it is possible to prevent inlet air and outlet air from being mixed each other for thereby achieving an effective cleaning operation.

Method and system for high-speed, 3D imaging of optically-invisible radiation and detector and array of such detectors for use therein

A high-speed, three-dimensional, gamma-ray imaging method and system as well as a detector and array of such detectors for use therein are provided which characterize radioactivity distributions in nuclear and radioactive waste and materials facilities by superimposing radiation images on a view of the environment using see-through display screens or shields to provide a stereoscopic view of the radiation. The method and system provide real-time visual feedback about the locations and relative strengths of radioactive sources. The method and system dynamically provide continuous updates to the displayed image illustrating changes, such as source movement. A pair of spaced gamma-ray cameras of a detector subsystem function like “gamma eyes”. A pair of CCD cameras may be coupled to the detector subsystem to obtain information about the physical architecture of the environment. A motion tracking subsystem is used to generate information on the user's position and head orientation to determine what a user “sees”. The invention exploits the human brain's ability to naturally reconstruct a 3D, stereoscopic image from 2D images generated by two “imagers” separated by a known angle(s) without the need for 3D mathematical image reconstruction. The method and system are not only tools for minimizing human exposure to radiation thus assisting in ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) planning, but also are helpful for identifying contamination in, for example, laboratory or industrial settings. Other optically-invisible radiation such as infrared radiation caused by smoldering fires may also be imaged. Detectors are manufactured or configured in curvilinear geometries (such as hemispheres, spheres, circles, arcs, or other arrangements) to enable sampling of the ionizing radiation field for determination of positional activity (absolute or relative amounts of ionizing radiation) or spectroscopy (energy distributions of photons). More than one detector system may be used to obtain three-dimensional information. The detector systems are specifically suitable for direct visualization of radiation fields.

Liquid To Liquid Biological Particle Concentrator

A rapid one-pass liquid filtration system efficiently concentrates biological particles that are suspended in liquid from a dilute feed suspension. A sample concentrate or retentate suspension is retained while eliminating the separated fluid in a separate flow stream. Suspended biological particles include such materials as proteins / toxins, viruses, DNA, and / or bacteria in the size range of approximately 0.001 micron to 20 microns diameter. Concentration of these particles is advantageous for detection of target particles in a dilute suspension, because concentrating them into a small volume makes them easier to detect. Additional concentration stages may be added in “cascade” fashion, in order to concentrate particles below the size cut of each preceding stage remaining in the separated fluid in a concentrated sample suspension. This process can also be used to create a “band-pass” concentration for concentration of a particular target size particle within a narrow range.

Multiple laser wavelength and pulse width process drilling

Dual-beam laser outputs, preferably derived from a single laser beam, improve the quality of the sidewalls of vias drilled in a target material, such as printed circuit board, comprising fiber-reinforced resin. Two embodiments each use two laser output components to remove a portion of target material from a target material location of a workpiece and rapidly clean remnants of the target material bonded to a metal layer underlying the target material location at a material removal rate. A first embodiment entails directing for incidence on a portion of the target material at the target material location a processing laser output having first and second components characterized by respective first and second wavelengths. A second embodiment entails directing for incidence on a portion of the target material at the target material location a processing laser output having first and second components characterized by respective first and pulse widths.

Water surface cleaning machine

The water surface cleaning machine is a self contained unit that travels on a water surface and collects floating debris. This water surface cleaning machine contains a propulsion means for propelling itself across the water. Debris is collected in a net or porous basket. The water surface cleaning machine contains a microcontroller to control its operations. The water surface cleaning machine has a manually operated mode and an automated mode. A radio controller can be used in the manual mode to remotely steer the water surface cleaning machine towards any floating debris for extremely quick and efficient cleaning of a water surface. In the automated mode, the water surface cleaning machine operates without intervention cleaning the pool of water and recharging its batteries. The water surface cleaning machine contains preprogrammed routines for efficiently cleaning the water surface. Switches or pressure sensors located on the exterior of its housing detect contact with external objects and a flow sensor monitors the water surface cleaning machine's motion. The microcontroller is programmed to redirect the water surface cleaning machine if its motion is prevented. The water surface cleaning machine is powered by batteries and solar cells. The microcontroller monitors the battery's charge, the solar cell's output and controls the recharging of the battery. The water surface cleaning machine includes an energy conservation mode to conserve the batteries energy. An analog to digital converter converts input from the batteries, flow sensors and switches to a form useable by the microcontroller.

Glass double-sided magnetic cleaning wiper

The invention provides a glass double-sided magnetic cleaning wiper. Two cleaning wipers which can be oppositely and respectively arranged on both surfaces of glass and are adsorbed on the glass in a sliding structure through the magnetism, and magnetic blocks which can be mutually adsorbed are arranged between plate bodies and wiper bodies of the two cleaning wipers. When a glass window is wiped, the two cleaning wipers are respectively arranged on the both surfaces of the glass and are oppositely adsorbed together through the magnetism, and a user can hold a single cleaning wiper on the inner surface of the window body to drive the opposite cleaning wiper to wipe the both surfaces of the glass in a mode of sliding back and forth, therefore, the invention has simple operation, can avoid dangers by wiping the window outsides and has the effects of cleanly and rapid cleaning.

Dog leash assembly with removable containers

A dog leash handle assembly is provided with containers for dog food and water which are removeably attached to the assembly. Thus, the dog owner has a single assembly including the leash and provisions for the dog which are readily transported. The assembly also provides a place for the storage of clean up bags and other items. The handle assembly further includes has a mechanism for attaching to the loop handle of a typical dog leash but may also be used with a retractable leash.
