Light fixture assembly having improved heat dissipation capabilities

A light fixture assembly including an illumination assembly in the form of one or more light emitting diodes is interconnected to an electrical energy source by control circuitry. A mounting assembly supports the illumination assembly and a cover structure is disposed in heat transferring relation to the illumination assembly, wherein the cover structure, which has an enlarged surface area formed of a heat conductive material, defines a decorative exterior of the light fixture and is disposed exterior of a mounting surface, thereby effectively dissipating the heat generated by the LED illumination assembly towards the environment being illuminated by the light fixture.

A storage device includes two flash memories of different flash memory types, and respectively including multiple data blocks. Each data block corresponds to a physical and a logical block address. The storage device further includes a processing module including a controller, which is capable of accessing two mapping tables respectively corresponding to the two flash memories and respectively recording the physical block addresses and the logical block addresses that correspond to the data blocks of the two flash memories. The controller is configured to determine, upon receipt of a command that contains a target logical block address therein, a selected one of the flash memories according to the target logical block address, and to locate a selected one of the physical block addresses by searching one of the mapping tables that corresponds to the selected one of the flash memories with reference to the target logical block address.

Vacuum processing apparatus

A vacuum processing apparatus is constituted of the following portions: a processing container with the bottom, capable of drawing vacuum; a placement platform installed in the container; a heating portion for heating a substrate on the platform; a processing gas-feeding portion for feeding a processing gas into the container; a partitioning portion surrounding a space between the platform and the bottom of the container and partitioning off the space from a processing space in the container; a purge gas-feeding portion for feeding a purge gas into the space surrounded by the partitioning portion; a purge gas-discharging portion for discharging the purge gas from the space surrounded by the partitioning portion; a control portion for controlling the purge gas-feeding portion and/or the purge gas-discharging portion so as to regulate the pressure in the space surrounded by the partitioning portion; and a temperature-detecting portion penetrating the bottom of the container, inserted in the space surrounded by the partitioning portion, and having the top end in contact with the platform. The partitioning portion has the lower end in surface-contact with the bottom of the container. The control portion regulates the pressure in the space surrounded by the partitioning portion to a pressure higher than that in the processing space in the container.

Multi-task immunoaffinity device secured to a peripheral box and integrated to a capillary electrophoresis apparatus

The present invention relates to an immunoaffinity device for capturing one or more analytes present at high or low concentrations in simple or complex matrices. The device is designed as a modular, multi-task immunoaffinity device secured to a peripheral box and connected to capillary electrophoresis or liquid chromatography for the isolation, enrichment, separation and identification of polymeric macromolecules, primarily protein biomarkers. In one embodiment, two devices are coupled in-tandem to perform separately and sequentially microreactions and concentrations of proteins. In this embodiment, biological samples containing proteins can be subjected to proteolytic processing in the first device, and the resulting peptides subjected to selective purification and concentration in the second device.
