Process for a high efficiency and low emission operation of power stations as well as for storage and conversion of energy

The invention relates to a process and a device for process realizing to increase the efficiency of power stations by improvement of the efficiency of using the heat potentials for an electric power production by using of supercritical carbon dioxide as a working fluid and heat transfer medium as well as for the improvement of the ecological balance of power stations by minimization of the carbon dioxide emission and the total avoidance of NOx-emissions by using of pure oxygen for the burning process. Additionally the process allows the buffering of electric overcapacity energy producing mass storages for natural gas, pressed air and carbon dioxide and their effective using as well as in the continuous operation and for peak load supply of power stations.

Process and packing machine for manufacturing filled drinking cups

The invention is concerned with a process of manufacturing filled drinking cups closed by cover foil blanks heat-sealed thereto and formed by deep-drawing from a thermoplastic packing material strip, comprising a beaded peripheral flange, with the cover foil blanks being provided with a pull flap. According to the invention the method includes the following steps: cyclically feeding the packing material strip loaded with the deep-drawn and filled cups underneath a cover foil blank transfer means; taking up the cover foil blanks from the transfer means, with the pull flaps, during transfer of the cover foil blanks to the packing material strip, being positioned in a direction substantially vertical to the extension plane of the blanks, and the blanks with the upright pull flaps above the cup openings being applied to the packing material strip; sealing the margins of the cover foil blanks to the unmolded areas of the packing material strip about the cup openings; bending the upright flaps during the advance movement of the packing material strip; punching the cups from the packing material strip along a punching contour line extending in parallel to and at a space from the circumferential contour of the cover foil blanks; and transferring the punched cups into a beading means wherein the peripheral flange portion projecting relative to the cover foil blanks is downwardly beaded.

Self-balancing adjustable mounting system with friction adjustment

ActiveUS20060022102A1Inhibit undesired movementLow effortDrilling rodsStands/trestlesDisplay deviceEngineering
A self-balancing adjustable mounting system for a flat panel display. A display interface having a hollow, frusto-spherical shell portion is attached to the flat panel display. The display interface is received in a guide structure that has a bearing portion engaging the outer surface of the frusto-spherical shell, and a second bearing portion engaging the inner surface of the frusto-spherical shell. The frusto-spherical shell is guided between the first and second bearing portions so that the flat panel display and device interface are generally rotatable about the center of the radius of curvature of the semi-spherical shell. A friction adjustment mechanism enables selective adjustment of the amount of friction between the first and second bearing portions and the frusto-spherical shell so as to enable the flat panel display to be fixed in a position to inhibit undesired movement of the display due to contact or other cause.

Method for a connection through a core network

In a method for the establishment of a connection between a first node (RNC1) and a second node (RNC2), both are connectable to a core network which comprises interconnected core network nodes (CN1, CN2). The first node (RNC1) signals a call request to a first core network node (CN1). If the first node is an access node, it sends an initialization according to a framing protocol, wherein a set of parameters for the framing of information sent over the interface between the first access node (RNC1) and the first core network node (CN1). If the first node is no access node, a first control server (MSC1) defines said set of parameters. The set of parameters is transmitted to the first core network node (CN1) and the first core network node (CN1) stores the parameter set. The first core network node (CN1) initializes the connection (Co) to a further core network node according to said protocol and the further core network node stores the parameter set. The initialization of the connection (Co) to and the storing of parameters in further core network nodes is performed stepwise until a final core network node (CN2) is reached which is connectable to the second access node (RNC2). The final core network node (CN2) initializes the connection (Co) to the second access node (RNC2) according to said protocol and the second access node (RNC2) stores the parameter set. A core network node and a program unit embodying the invention are also described.

Described is a method and array for magnetizing a magnetizable object. The method includes the steps of (a) applying a first degaussing signal to the magnetizable object to degauss the magnetizable object and the first degaussing signal is an alternating electrical signal having a first frequency and a first amplitude; (b) applying a magnetizing signal to the degaussed magnetizable object to magnetize the magnetizable object; and (c) applying a second degaussing signal to the magnetized magnetizable object to partially degauss the magnetized magnetizable object and the second degaussing signal is an alternating electrical signal having a second frequency and a second amplitude.

Measuring System and Measuring Method Using Position and/or Orientation Sensors

A measuring system serves the purpose of measuring a directional characteristic of a first signal sent or received by a device under test comprising sensor means for determining its position and / or orientation. The device under test is set up for determining the position and / or orientation on the basis of its sensors and communicate this information to the measuring device either wireless or wired. The measuring device can be an external or internal means. The measuring system comprises positioning means for positioning and / or orienting the device under test and a measuring device comprising antenna means for receiving the first signal and processing means for processing the received first signal. The processing means comprise sensor processing means for determining the position and / or orientation included in the first signal. The processing means are set up for determining the directional characteristic from the device under test and the position and / or orientation.
