Scalable performance-based volume allocation in large storage controller collections

A scalable, performance-based, volume allocation technique that can be applied in large storage controller collections is disclosed. A global resource tree of multiple nodes representing interconnected components of a storage system is analyzed to yield gap values for each node (e.g., a bottom-up estimation). The gap value for each node is an estimate of the amount in GB of the new workload that can be allocated in the subtree of that node without exceeding the performance and space bounds at any of the nodes in that subtree. The gap values of the global resource tree are further analyzed to generate an ordered allocation list of the volumes of the storage system (e.g., a top-down selection). The volumes may be applied to a storage workload in the order of the allocation list and the gap values and list are updated.

Image salient target detection method combined with deep learning

The invention provides an image salient target detection method combined with deep learning. The method is based on an improved RFCN deep convolution neural network of cross-level feature fusion, anda network model comprises two parts of basic feature extraction and cross-level feature fusion. The method comprises: firstly, using an improved deep convolution network model to extract features of an input image, and using a cross-level fusion framework for feature fusion, to generate a high-level semantic feature preliminary saliency map; then, fusing the preliminary saliency map with image bottom-layer features to perform saliency propagation and obtain structure information; finally, using a conditional random field (CRF) to optimize a saliency propagation result to obtain a final saliency map. In a PR curve graph obtain by the method, F value and MAE effect are better than those obtained by other nine algorithms. The method can improve integrity of salient target detection, and has characteristics of less background noise and high algorithm robustness.

The invention relates to a preparation method of a silicon carbide nanowire enhanced C / C-SiC-ZrB2 ceramic-based composite material. A pretreated carbon fiber prefabricating body is thermally treated to obtain a silicon carbide nanowire. The silicon carbide nanowire prepared by a sol-gel carbon-thermal reaction method is evenly distributed at the inner part of a porous carbon / carbon composite material. Subsequently, pyrolytic carbon deposited in an isothermal chemical vapor deposition furnace is coated at the surface of the silicon carbide nanowire, thus the dropping, growing and rupture of the silicon carbide nanowire in the following reaction and infiltration processes are effectively avoided. A ceramic-based composite material carbon fiber, a silicon carbide nanowire and a pyrolytic carbon middle layer after reaction and infiltration are not eroded by a high-temperature metal bath and are well preserved; thus the physical performance of the composite material can be improved. Compared with the C / C-SiC-ZrB2 ceramic-based composite material without adding the silicon carbide nanowire, the bending strength and the fracture toughness property of the silicon carbide nanowire enhanced C / C-SiC-ZrB2 ceramic-based composite material are improved by 26.9-41.3% and 45.2-59.1% respectively.
