Recording and reproducing method

InactiveUS20050180291A1Stably recording informationStably reproducing informationOptical beam sourcesRecord information storageGraphicsLight beam
A hologram recording method for forming a light interference pattern in a hologram recording medium to record information thereon. The method includes a step of interfering with a reference beam a signal beam spatially modulated by an information pattern which carries the information to generate interfered beams. The method includes a step of executing a recording sequence a plurality of times, the recording sequence including steps of irradiating the interfered beams onto a recording surface of the hologram recording medium to form a group of a plurality of holograms each corresponding to the information pattern. The method includes a step of completing the recording sequence. Different modulation conditions are set for at least one of the signal beam and the reference beam in one recording sequence and the subsequent recording sequence immediately after the one recording sequence.

Optical head apparatus, optical information recording and reproducing apparatus, method for detecting aberration and method for adjusting optical head apparatus

InactiveUS6967916B2Information be recorded stablyInformation be reproduced stablyCombination recordingOptical beam sourcesOptical pickupHigh density
An optical head apparatus capable of stably obtaining a detection signal of spherical aberration even with a high density optical disk. A spherical aberration error signal is obtained by: dividing the returning light from the optical disk into a transmitted light and a diffracted light; reproducing information with the transmitted light having a larger amount of light while dividing the diffracted light having a small amount of light into two regions, i.e., region near the optical axis and a region distant from the optical axis; determining amounts of focus deviation in respective regions as focus error signals; and taking the difference signal therebetween. Thus, it is possible to detect the amount of spherical aberration with the SN ratio of the information reproducing signal kept at high level.

Optical element, optical lens, optical head apparatus, optical information apparatus, computer, optical information medium player, car navigation system, optical information medium recorder, and optical information medium server

An optical lens includes a hologram, a refractive lens, and a phase level difference. The hologram has a sawtooth shape grating having a sawtooth shape in cross-section, and generates +2nd-order diffracted light most strongly with respect to blue light and +1st-order diffracted light most strongly with respect to red light, by setting a height of the sawtooth shape grating. The +2nd-order diffracted light of blue light is condensed through a substrate with a thickness t1, and the +1st-diffracted light of red light is condensed through a substrate with a thickness t2 (t1<t2). The difference in optical path length occurring when the blue light passes through the phase level difference is five times the wavelength of the blue light.

Recording medium, optical information device and method for producing recording medium

InactiveUS20140133285A1Stable information recordingStable reproductionLaminationLamination apparatusEngineeringPermittivity
A recording medium (10) is provided with a left-handed material layer (1) having at least one of a permittivity and a permeability of a negative value, and having substantially periodically formed structures; and a recording layer (2) including island-shaped and substantially periodically arranged recording regions (22), and being laminated on the left-handed material layer (1). The structure period of the left-handed material layer (1) is equal to or is an integral multiple of the arrangement period of the recording regions (22) of the recording layer (2).

Information sharing system, information sharing management device, and information sharing method

Provided is an information sharing system which allows setting information relating to a second communication device to be shared with a first communication device. The information sharing system includes an information collection device that retains the setting information and is communicatively connected to the first communication device, and a management device that makes a request for transmission of the setting information with respect to the information collection device. The management device includes a communication management unit that determines whether or not communication is established between the first and second communication devices when receiving the request for transmission of the setting information, and an information request unit that makes a request for transmission of the setting information with respect to the information collection device in a case where it is determined by the communication management unit that the communication is established between the first and second communication devices. The information collection device includes an information management unit that transmits the setting information to the first communication device in response to the request made by the information request unit.
