Managing workload within workflow-management-systems

A computerized method of managing workload within a Workflow-Management-System (WFMS), the WFMS having a process-model, the process-model including one or more activities being the nodes of an arbitrary graph, and directed edges of the graph defining a potential control-flow within the process-model. The method comprises a determination-step, wherein the process-model is analyzed if a priority-execution-indicator is assigned to the activity within the process model; and a launching step, wherein, in the affirmative case of the determination-step, the WFMS launches execution of the activity in the activity's execution-environment with an execution priority specified according to the priority execution indicator. Moreover the WFMS can set its own execution priority, and processing-related messages for communication are set to the execution priority specified.

Symbol-level combining for MIMO systems with HARQ and/or repetition coding

Systems and methods are provided for decoding signal vectors in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, where the receiver has received one or more signal vectors from the same transmitted vector. The symbols of the received signal vectors are combined, forming a combined received signal vector that may be treated as a single received signal vector. The combined signal vector is then decoded using a maximum-likelihood decoder. In some embodiments, the combined received signal vector may be processed prior to decoding. Systems and methods are also provided for computing soft information from a combined signal vector based on a decoding metric. Computationally intensive calculations can be extracted from the critical path and implemented in preprocessors and / or postprocessors.

Method and system for accumulating energy by compressed air and heat accumulation medium simultaneously

The invention relates to a method and a system for accumulating energy by compressed air and heat accumulation medium simultaneously, and belongs to the field of compressed air energy accumulating. The system comprises a motor, an air compressor, an air storage device, a heat accumulation tin, a turbine and an electric generator. The system comprises the following principles: solid heat accumulation medium and electrical heating elements are arranged in the heat accumulation tin; when the system is charged in off-peak hour period, air is compressed by the air compressor and exchanges heat with the solid heat accumulation medium in the heat accumulation tin; the heat exchanged air is stored in the air accumulation device; the heat exchanged solid heat accumulation medium is heated continuously by using the electrical heating elements; when the system discharges in peak hour period, the accumulated air is released, and enters the turbine to work after absorbing the heat from the solid heat accumulation medium; and the electric generator is driven by the turbine to generate electricity. Compared with the conventional adiabatic compression air energy accumulating system, the system has the advantages that the memory capacity is greatly increased; the unit capacity investment cost is reduced; the system only needs to adopt a one-stage heat accumulation tin and a one-stage turbine; and the system complex degree is low.

Offshore processing method and system

A method for removal of a compound from a crude hydrocarbon gas stream to be obtained from a sub-sea well is disclosed. The method comprises bringing the crude hydrocarbon gas stream in contact with a treatment solution comprising an absorbent at least partly selective to the compound to be removed, thereby obtaining a rich treatment solution and a compound depleted gas stream, regenerating the treatment solution comprising the absorbent by desorbing the compound from the rich treatment solution, thereby obtaining a compound stream. The crude hydrocarbon gas stream is brought in contact with the treatment solution comprising the absorbent subsea, the compound depleted gas stream is obtained subsea, where as the regenerating of the rich treatment solution and obtaining the compound stream is performed topside Further a system for transporting a treatment fluid from a subsea treatment unit to a topside regeneration involving adding pressurized hot natural gas to the treatment fluid subsea as a lift gas and separating the natural gas from the treatment fluid topside before the treatment fluid enters the treatment unit is described.

Light engine system for reflective liquid crystal projection display

The invention provides a light engine system for reflective liquid crystal projection display. The light engine is composed of a light source module, a light management module, an image signal module and a projection lens. Two polarization states of three primary colors can be effectively utilized to substantially improve the optical efficiency and output brightness of the entire machine without increasing the system complexity and the costs. The light source module is composed of a three-primary-color solid light source and a light homogenizing device and provides color-saturated three-primary-color lighting for the projection. The light management module comprises a dichroic color splitting prism which is used for integrating two primary lights from different directions; the image signal module is a monolithic reflective liquid crystal optical modulation device and is used for modulating the polarized light with three primary colors into a light beam carrying signals in a time sequence mode according to image signals corresponding to each primary color; and the projection lens projects the light carrying the image signals onto a screen through a second PBS (polarizing beam splitter).

Identification method of woven fabric tissue chart

The invention provides an identification method of a woven fabric tissue chart, wherein the identification method relates to image analysis. The identification method comprises the steps of a first step, identifying the type of the woven fabric tissue structure based on a yarn boundary characteristic, namely performing woven fabric image pre-treatment, performing inclination correction and dividing for obtaining each tissue point image, determining the latitude and longitude attributes of the tissue point image by means of the yarn boundary characteristic of the tissue point image, obtaining the number of circulating yarns of the woven fabric and classifying the tissue structure; and a second step, performing woven fabric tissue chart identification based on an improved Gabor characteristic and the tissue structure type, namely extracting the characteristic of a non-twill tissue point image based on the improved Gabor kernel transformation, performing PCA dimension reduction, classifying the non-twill tissue point image by means of a support vector machine, performing classified correction on a woven fabric tissue chart matrix, and outputting a correct woven fabric tissue chart. The identification method of the woven fabric tissue chart can realize a high-robustness identification effect on woven fabric three-elementary tissues which are obtained through weaving yarns with different dimensions and colors and the woven fabric tissue chart with a simple changed tissue structure.
