The invention discloses a
coal mining working face communication
system based on
visible light communication and a method thereof, and belongs to
coal mining communication systems and methods. Pre-existing lighting cables on a working face serve as transmission media, visible light base stations based on light-emitting
diode (LED) lighting lights are additionally arranged on the working face, miners wear LED mining lights which have the function of sending and receiving a message, and the LED mining lights serve as mobile nodes and can be nearby accessed to a visible light
base station of a strongest
signal.
Wireless links among the mobile nodes of the working face and the lighting light base stations are constructed, wired links among the lighting light base stations, comprehensive protection devices and an underground
backbone network are constructed, and wired and
wireless mixed coverage of the working face is achieved. Spot communication data of the working face are transmitted to an underground backbone looped network switchboard or a
branch switchboard through a visible light channel and the lighting cables, and the data are transmitted to a ground communication
server through a backbone looped network. The
coal mining working face communication
system and the method thereof have the advantages that the
energy consumption of an LED
light source is low, transmission speed is high, the
energy consumption of the
system is low, safety is high, cost is low, anti-jamming capability is strong, disturbance of natural light does not exist under a coal well, and the system and the method are suitable for being used under the coal well.
