Calibration method and apparatus for automotive camera system, and method and ecu for determining angular misalignments of automotive camera system

InactiveUS20100253784A1Fast and inexpensive can be carry-outEliminate needImage enhancementImage analysisVideo cameraImaging processing
A method of automotive camera system calibration is disclosed in the present invention. At least two targets are placed within the field of view of each camera included in the system. Each camera captures the targets. Then, the vehicle is moved, and another image is captured. The images are used to derive the camera orientation parameters. Based on these parameters, misalignment of the cameras can be compensated by the image processing unit.

Method and system for detecting and/or classifying cancerous cells in a cell sample

The current invention concerns a method for detecting cancerous cells and / or classifying cells in a cell sample comprising the following steps: providing a cell sample; obtaining holographic information from said cell sample by digital holographic microscopy (DHM); deriving at least one cellular parameter from said holographic information, and; classifying said cells of cells sample; characterized in that said classification occurs by appointing a Scoring Factor to said cells of cell sample, based on said cellular parameters. In a second aspect, a system for the detection of cancerous cells and / or classification of cells in a cell sample is provided, employing the method as disclosed in the invention. In a final aspect, a method for updating and / or improving a database comprising thresholds linked to holographic information and the database related thereof is equally disclosed.

Process for the integrity check of lots of individual package units

A process for integrity check of lots of individual package units which comprises combining at least one RFID tag and a container which contains a large number of individual package units wherein each of the individual package units is marked with a marking code, the information of these codes of all individual package units is combined, and a hash code is generated based on the combined information of all marking codes of all individual package units, which combined hash code is stored in an RFID tag which is affixed to the container, this combined hash code together with the individual hash codes for the individual package units being stored in the data base of the SENDER site where the container is packed and sealed, the individual hash codes then being transmitted to the RECIPIENT of the said container, the information collected from the RFID tag being compared to the combined hash code which is calculated at the RECIPIENT site from the information received by the SENDER of the said container including all individual hash codes of all package units in the said container, and to the combined hash code calculated from the markings on the individual package units or boxes scanned at the RECIPIENT site, and the application of the said process in the verification of the integrity of pharmaceutical goods, video information such as movies on DVD, audio information such as music on CD, computer files, or paper documents

Low Cost Multi-Channel Data Acquisition System

Embodiments of the present invention provide an inexpensive and fast pulse characterization platform capable of real time operation, suitable for acquisition of single-photon data. Embodiments of the present invention include both a digital multi-channel data acquisition instrument and an analog pulse acquisition instrument suitable for a wide range of applications in physics laboratories. An FPGA performs multi-channel acquisition in real time, time stamps single events, and determines if the events fit a predetermined signature, which causes the events to be categorized as a coincidence. The indications of coincidences are then communicated to a host computer for further processing as desired.

Cutting device for elongated materials

The cutting device comprises a first block or ram, and a second block or receptacle. The ram has a channel that extends along its longitudinal length, the channel is sized and configured to accept at least a portion of a cutting blade. The receptacle has a hollow sized and configured to accept at least a portion of the ram. The blade is arranged within the hollow and extends from the receptacle into the hollow and toward the ram. The blade is advantageously recessed within the ram. In one embodiment, the ram is attached to a drive coupled to a sewing machine, and the receptacle is attached to the sewing machine. The ram is moveable between a retracted position, in which the ram is separated from the receptacle, and an extended position, in which at least a portion of the ram is housed within the receptacle. By this configuration, elongated material may be placed between the receptacle and ram and then the ram can move from the retracted position to the extended position, whereby a portion of the elongated material is cut by the blade.
