A power and control architecture employing circuitry that sequentially regulate power flows from independent solar-array sources or a mixture of power sources providing power to a common load. The device may be used on a satellite with solar-array sources; however it may also be used on ground based systems. Stiff bus voltage regulation is obtained by tightly controlling the most recently activated power-processing channel while keeping the previously activated power-processing channels in the Maximum Power Tracking mode to supply maximum power to a common load. The remaining power-processing channels are turned off or operated in stand-by mode. In an alternative system, with primary design goal of uniform power sharing among solar-array sources, all solar array sources are activated with uniform power sharing at light load and, as load demand increases, sequentially controlled to operate in the Maximum Power Tracking mode one solar array source at a time as necessary.

The lossy conductive members may be used in conjunction with magnetically lossy materials. The present invention is a clip and related grounding device. The grounding device has a wire connected to two clips at either end. Each clip is configured to be attached to the frame of a solar panel. The device eliminates fasteners that require bolts or screw to make a sufficient electrical connection between the panel frames. Because the grounding connects frame to frame, it is not necessary to ensure that the frames have a grounding connection to the underlying solar panel mounting system. This enables use of mounting systems that do not conduct electricity. Distribution network fault line selection method using non-power frequency transient state component

The invention discloses a new method for performing fault line selection by using the characteristic of a non-power frequency transient state fault component for extracting single-phase fault zero-sequence current by using Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). The method comprises the following steps: performing EMD decomposition on fault zero-sequence current of each feeder line by using the HHT to acquire an IMF component of the zero-sequence current of each feeder line; constructing a resolving signal according to Hilbert transform, solving instantaneous amplitude and frequency of the zero-sequence current of each feeder line, and eliminating a power frequency component in the instantaneous frequency of the zero-sequence current of each feeder line to acquire a non-power frequency fault component; and forming a line selection criterion according to the characteristics that the amplitude of the non-power frequency fault component of the fault line is greater than that of the non-fault line and the polarity of the fault line is opposite to that of the non-fault line. The line selection method is not affected by an arc suppression coil, and is applicable to non-grounded, arc suppression coil grounded and high-resistor grounded systems, overhead lines or cable lines and cable overhead mixed lines; and the line selection result shows that the method applied to low-current single-phase grounding fault line selection is accurate and reliable.

The invention carries out correlativity analysis to compare the measured waveform of the current of every zero current with the transient pure fault component solved by the measuring simulation method under a definite data window and calculate both correlative coefficients, thereby the invention forms a line selecting criterion 1 and 2 and can carry out line selection to the system according to the line selecting criterion. The principle analysis and the simulation show that the line selection method has the advantages of accuracy and reliability.
