With files secured by encryption techniques, keys are often required to gain access to the secured files. Techniques for providing and using multiple levels of keystores for securing the keys are disclosed. The keystores store keys that are needed by users in order to access secured files. The different levels of keystores offer compromises between security and flexibility/ease of use.

Processing within a computing environment that supports pageable guests is facilitated. There is disclosed a system, method, apparatus and computer program product for managing a storage system including a SAN within a computer network. The storage system can be managed in object-oriented computer language. Object trees of each component in the storage system or SAN are obtained and combined on each storage processor in the storage system. The user interface (UI) can therefore select one storage processor within the storage system, and request such combined object tree information for the entire storage system or SAN from only that singular storage processor on which such combined information is stored. This eliminates a severe computational drain on the UI, which otherwise would be required to make these object tree combinations, and further allows a single point of storage management contact between UI and storage system or SAN by way of that singular storage or portal processor. Commands from the UI destined for any node within the storage system or SAN are thus always addressed to that same single point of contact or portal processor allowing for ease of use and other advantages.

The terminal may be used for optical fiber interconnection and/or optical fiber and fiber optic cable storage. The second fiber optic cable is intended to extend to the fiber optic equipment. The adapter panel and the fiber optic adapters are angled generally in the direction in which the second fiber optic cable is intended to extend. Angling the fiber optic adapters in this manner accommodates routing of second fiber optic cable, and provides ease of access to the fiber optic adapters for connecting and disconnecting fiber optic connectors and to slack storage components for cable management mounted in the terminal.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing low-overhead support for task and information management provided to users of computer systems. Before starting to work on a project a user selects the project as active, and lists of resources employed by the user when working on the project are created on the basis of information about the subsequent computer system events generated by user's actions. The user can access lists of resources when he or she selects the project again. According to preferred embodiments, a database containing a project-tagged interaction log is created through means of the computer system, and the user is provided with a number of personal information management (PIM) tools, such a calendar, a to do list, and a notepad. Information entries created with the PIM tools are linked to active projects. Interaction log is utilized to delete irrelevant resources and make more important information more accessible than less important information.
