The invention provides
kyanite-based reinforced ultralight foam
ceramic containing a
titanium dioxide
coating and a preparation method thereof. The
kyanite-based reinforced ultralight foam
ceramic containing the
titanium dioxide
coating is prepared through the following steps: with
kyanite powder as a
raw material and
anorthite as a
sintering auxiliary agent, carrying out
crystallization by utilizing
polyvinyl alcohol, carrying out reinforcing by utilizing a
ceramic powder hydrophobization modifier, then carrying out
freeze drying and
sintering so as to obtain foam ceramic, and attaching a titania gel layer on the surface of the foam ceramic by utilizing a negative pressure impregnation process so as to prepare the kyanite-based reinforced ultralight foam ceramic containing the
titanium dioxide
coating. The kyanite-based reinforced ultralight foam ceramic containing the
titanium dioxide coating provided by the invention has uniform pore size,
isotropy, good combination among ceramic crystalline grains and good
adhesion force between the
titanium dioxide coating and the ceramic crystalline grains; no
impurity phase is introduced into the prepared foam ceramic, so the performances of ceramic may not be weakened; and a foam ceramic
green body has good processability, can be processed through processes like
cutting and
carving, and has the advantages of high strength, light weight, smooth pores, no defects on the surface and improved
thermal shock resistance.
