High Ratio Mobile Electric HVAC System

An energy efficient and highly versatile electrically-powered air conditioning and heating system for mobile vehicles. Multiple variable-speed compressors operate in series and parallel modes giving an exceptionally wide range of operating capacity making the system suitable for combined on-highway and no-idle use in trucks. In series mode, the single-stage compressors function like a two-stage compressors for increased energy efficiency. A unique power control and storage system has multi-voltage input and output capability without the use of DC-DC or DC-AC converters. A battery management system is incorporated which is compatible with all advanced battery technologies and offers cell-level charge and discharge control.

A selective, flow-based datapath architecture is described. A Flow Control Block Manager (FCBM) is located in a flow-based datapath for selectively and intelligently processing packets in the Flow Path. If, according to the FCBM, efficiency gains can be achieved by creating a flow control block and employing flow-based processing on a packet stream, the packets are processed accordingly. If, however, insufficient gains are anticipated the packets are processed in a flow-unaware manner. The FCBM determines the manner in which to process packets based on a set of criteria.

Ganoderma lucidum strain suitable for large-scale liquid fermentation culture, method of mutation breeding the same, and use of the strain

Disclosed is a Ganoderma Lucidum strain suitable for large-scale liquid fermentation, named as Ganoderma Lucidum G2, deposited with China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center under the accession number CGMCC No. 3982 on Jul. 20, 2010, and a method of mutation breeding the same and use of the strain. The Ganoderma Lucidum strain which belongs to Ganodermataceae, genus Ganoderma, species red Ganoderma Lucidum is obtained by artificial mutagenizing and breeding. The production of mycelia using the Ganoderma Lucidum strain G2 is 80˜120 times higher as compared with the production of mycelia using wild-type naïve Ganoderma Lucidum strain. The mycelia produced using the Ganoderma Lucidum strain G2 have higher contents of main pharmaceutical ingredients. The Ganoderma Lucidum strain suitable for large-scale liquid fermentation can be used for manufacturing oral solution or beverage comprising Ganoderma mycelia or extracts of Ganoderma mycelia as main active ingredient.

Direct oxidation of hydrogen sulfide in a hydroprocessing recylce gas stream with hydrogen purification

A process and system for treating a hydroprocessing unit effluent gas stream for recycling includes introducing the effluent gas stream into a hydrogen purification zone and recovering a hydrogen-rich gas stream and a liquid stream containing a mixture that includes C1 to C4 hydrocarbons and H2S which is then mixed with an oxidant and fed to an oxidation unit containing catalyst for conversion of the H2S to elemental sulfur vapors that is separated for recovery of the elemental sulfur, and recovering a sweetened mixture that includes C1 to C4 hydrocarbons. Alternatively, the hydroprocessing unit effluent gas stream containing H2S is cooled, contacted with a solvent to absorb the C1 to C4 hydrocarbons and H2S, with the hydrogen-rich stream being recovered for recycling to the hydroprocessing unit, and the rich liquid solvent being flashed to produce a lean solvent stream for recycling to the adsorption zone and a mixed gas stream that includes the C1 to C4 hydrocarbons and H2S that is passed to an oxidation zone and is reacted with an oxidant in the presence of a catalyst to complete the process as described above for the recovery of elemental sulfur and a mixture that includes the sweetened C1 to C4 hydrocarbons.

Latching mechanism

An aircraft latch utilizes a spindle in combination with an over-center linkage assembly to impart linear motion to a hook member, causing the hook member to either disengage or engage a keeper member on the adjacent structure. The over-center linkage and the spindle are operated by different and independent operations of a handle member. Specifically, the over-center linkage is moved from a stored position, in which the two link members are in end-to-end axial alignment, to a position in which the two link members are no longer in end-to-end axial alignment. This movement is caused by pivoting the handle member from a position in which the longitudinal axis of the handle member is parallel to the axis of the aligned link members, to a second position in which the handle member is pivoted at least ninety degrees. This pivoting motion, which may be accompanied by other actions, such as releasing a trigger, causes the two link members to pivot with respect to each other, or “break”. Once the two link member have broken from the over-center position, the handle is then rotated, causing the spindle to rotate, and thereby imparting a generally linear motion to the hook member, causing the hook to disconnect from the keeper member. The hook member is caused to engage the keeper member by reversing these steps.
