The invention relates to the fields of novel resource utilization, electromechanics and electric power, and provides equipment for capturing and converting energy, in particular to the capture and the conversion of wave energy in the field of wave energy utilization. The basic principle is that the level angle of the equipment is changed along with wave fluctuation; and a more massive energy conversion hammer, which is arranged in the equipment, is maintained stable, a shell or a framework can move relative to the energy conversion hammer, thereby capturing the energy. An energy conversion system or an energy transmission system is used as a constitutional part of a body of the energy conversion hammer, and the relative movement drives the energy conversion system or the energy transmission system, thereby transmitting the energy to other components from the hammer body or outputting the energy outside the equipment, or generating another form of energy on the hammer body. For example, under the circumstance that an electric generator or a fluid compressor is used as the constitutional part of the hammer body, electric energy or high voltage fluid can be directly generated; and the energy not only can be used directly, but also can be converted into another form of energy, and a second-conversion component can also be used as the constitutional part of the hammer body. The invention is particularly suitable for generating electricity by waves.
