Cable support and distribution system and method

A cable support system provides the organization and support for bundles or runs of communication or database cables, for example, avoiding the mess usually associated with the distribution of such cabling. The system is designed to be a low cost and easier to install tray, supporting runs or bundles of cable from a building structure such as a structural ceiling, beam, girder, or purlin, and above a suspended acoustical ceiling. The system is suspended by common threaded rod which supports a primary hanger having a generally rounded support symmetrically below the rod with one side openable so that a secondary hanger may be inserted in and fastened to the inside of the support. The secondary hanger is formed from a roll of flexible open plastic mesh having oriented strands secured to the inside of the primary hangers by spring clips. Plastic splice clips may be used to join lengths of such mesh, or may be used in the fabrication of various transitions or branches. A wire form transition to which the secondary hanger is secured by the splice clips includes bendable components and can be used to form curves, elbows, changes in elevation, or Tees, and the like.

Deformable intraocular corrective lens

A deformable, artificial intraocular contact lens for implantation into the human eye to correct normal-vision problems. The lens may be positioned posteriorly from the iris, resting against the anterior surface of the posterior capsule's natural lens. Alternatively, the lens may be positioned in the anterior chamber of the eye. The implanted lens works in conjunction with the cornea and natural lens to provide proper vision, as a substitute for regular contact lens, spectacles, and radial keratotomy. The lens may be designed from a rigid or semi-rigid material. Due to the thinness of the structure, the lens may be rolled and inserted into the eye, minimizing both the length of the corneal incision and the stretching of the cornea.

Quick drain plug

The invention relates to a hand-actuated drain plug that comprises a tubular member having a proximal head and a distal body adapted to engage a tubular port. The head of the plug has an annular end with at least two surface areas corresponding to an open and closed position. The tubular member defines an axially aligned bore. The plug includes a cap top that comprises a proximal flange coupled to a stem. The flange has a distally oriented surface that is adapted to be placed in orientation with the two surface areas of the annular end corresponding to open and closed positions. The other end of the stem is coupled to a bushing that is sized to fit and slide within the bore of the tubular member. A biasing member positioned between the stem and the tubular member is compressed to bias the plug to a closed position.

Apparatus for in-situ remediation using a closed delivery system

A pressurized delivery system for in-situ delivery of sub-soil remediation compounds to underground contaminated matter includes a liquid diaphragm pump connected to an inflow source of water, the pump being also in fluid communication with a plurality of bioslurry tanks connected in parallel, the bioslurry tanks each having a drain. Valve means are located between the liquid diaphragm pump and each of the bioslurry tanks for controlling either the alternate or simultaneous flow of fluid from the pump to each of the bioslurry tanks. A second liquid diaphragm pump having an inlet port for receiving the combined flow of the bioslurry tanks has an outlet in fluid communication with a system discharge port. The system further includes a source of compressed gas in fluid communication with the discharge port. A discharge rod is connected to the discharge port for delivery of remedial fluids to underground soils. A gas pressure line leads from a source of compressed gas to the discharge port and is also in fluid communication with the feed tanks for storage of injectants under pressure, the feed tanks being individually pressurized by the selective fluid communication with the pressure line. Each feed tank includes a separately valved exhaust port connected to the system discharge port such that the source of injectant may be switched from the bioslurry tanks to any of the feed tanks without loss of delivery pressure. The source of pressurized gas may be a mechanical compressor or a stored compressed gas.
