Temperature mapping balloon

The temperature mapping balloon of the present invention provides a device for locating inflammation and increased metabolic activity associated with conditions such as vulnerable plaque, by mapping temperature of a body lumen, such as an artery or blood vessel. The temperature mapping balloon comprises a balloon with a thermal mapping coating disposed on the inside or outside of the balloon. The thermal mapping coating can be a thermochromic coating that changes color in response to temperature or a sensor coating comprising a plurality of temperature sensors.

Method for three plane interleaved acquisition for three dimensional temperature monitoring with MRI

The present invention provides for a method of three dimensional temperature monitoring based in hyperthermic procedures, the heat dissipation, and therefore, temperature variations, does not change dramatically over a spatial region and, second, temperature change, which manifests itself as the phase change, has different characteristics compared to the anatomic magnitude image. Therefore the present invention exploits these facts to provide a method for acquiring the temperature map of three orthogonal planes nearly simultaneously.

Footwear System for Ulcer or Pre-Ulcer Detection

A footwear system having a plurality of temperature sensors determines the emergence of an ulcer or pre-ulcer on a person's foot. After the plurality of temperature sensors generate a plurality of discrete temperature data values, the system and method form a temperature map representing substantially the actual geometric shape of at least a portion of the foot, and the distribution of temperatures of the at least a portion of the foot. Next, the method and system determine whether the temperature map presents at least one of a plurality of prescribed patterns, and produces output information indicating an emergence of an ulcer or a pre-ulcer on a given portion on the foot. The output information is produced as a function of whether the temperature map is determined to present the at least one of the plurality of prescribed patterns.

Extended temperature range mapping process of a furnace enclosure using various device settings

A process is provided for mapping temperatures in an enclosure during a combustion process. A device setting of an image-capturing device is provided. An intensity-temperature mapping is generated by performing an intensity-temperature calibration based on an intensity of an image pixel in a field of view (FOV) generated by the image-capturing device, a corresponding temperature measurement, and a selected device setting. Each emitted radiation of selected regions is detected based on a first image in the FOV. At least one region is determined whether the region is poor responsive, based on the intensity-temperature mapping associated with the device setting. The at least one poor responsive region is replaced with acceptable regions unaffected by the saturation from at least one other image captured at a different device setting for higher temperature resolution.

Energy storage battery stack three-dimensional temperature visualization method based on infrared image

The invention discloses an energy storage battery stack three-dimensional temperature visualization method based on an infrared image. According to the method, firstly, a surface source blackbody is used as a benchmark to collect grayscale images of an infrared thermal imager under different blackbody temperature, and a temperature and grayscale mapping model is established; the acquired infraredimage is preprocessed, a battery stack surface is separated, then the surface is divided, subunit grayscale is calculated, and battery stack surface temperature is obtained according to the temperature and grayscale mapping model; based on the principle of inverse distance weight interpolation, battery stack three-dimensional temperature is obtained through preliminary interpolation on the batterystack surface temperature, then a battery stack three-dimensional temperature error is obtained according to interpolation on temperature errors of N temperature sensors, a battery stack three-dimensional temperature model is corrected, and reserved output of the temperature sensors is used for evaluating the battery stack three-dimensional temperature model; and the model of a battery in use isused as a benchmark to establish a battery impedance and temperature mapping model, and acquired internal temperature of stereoscopic subunits is used to correct the three-dimensional temperature model. Through the method, qualitative and positioning analysis can be performed on a battery stack thermal fault more intelligently.

Visual measurement method for temperature distribution of single-connection combustion field

The invention relates to a visual measurement method for temperature distribution of a single-connection combustion field. The visual measurement method comprises the following specific operation steps: 1, acquiring local admittance and temperature data of flame by using an ionic current probe and a thermocouple probe aiming at the typical working condition of a combustor; 2, establishing a mapping model from the admittance rate of the combustion field to the temperature by utilizing the measurement data; 3, designing an electrical tomography sensor according to the structure of the combustor, measuring the mutual impedance of the electrode array distributed around the combustion field, and reconstructing the distribution of the conductivity and the dielectric constant in the combustion field; and 4, substituting the reconstructed distribution data into an admittance-to-temperature mapping model to obtain a temperature distribution image. The method provided by the invention is suitable for measuring the combustion field with a lightproof structure and can quickly obtain the image of temperature distribution and has the advantages of no contact, no radiation, simple structure, lowcost and the like and has important practical value and application prospect.
