Battery unit and secondary battery employing the same

A battery unit for a secondary battery that includes a positive electrode plate, a positive electrode tab, a negative electrode plate, a negative electrode tab, a separator, and short circuit preventing units, wherein the short circuit preventing units are formed on corresponding uncoated areas of the positive and negative electrode current collectors where the positive and negative electrode sheets are not formed, each short circuit preventing unit having a corresponding width greater than a width of the corresponding positive and negative electrode current collectors.

Solar energy-collecting architectural enclosure panel and walkable solar energy-collecting roof

The solar energy-collecting architectural enclosure panel includes outer and inner plates which are mutually facing and joined by a leak-tight joint along a closed perimeter separated at a distance from perimetric edges of the panel. The outer and inner plates include within the closed perimeter hollow conformations to form a circuit for a heat-carrying fluid with an inlet and an outlet. Adjacent to opposite longitudinal edges of the outer plate there are first longitudinal stiffening configurations and adjacent to opposite longitudinal edges of the inner plate there are second longitudinal stiffening configurations configured to rest on transverse elements of a structure. The outer and inner plates are furthermore joined by a mechanical connection in expected maximum bending stress areas adjacent to the opposite longitudinal edges of the outer and inner plates.

Drive-thru system and method

A vehicular drive-thru food ordering and delivering system and method are provided. The system includes a lot, a drive-thru lane and a building for receiving and filling drive-thru orders. The building has a primary food delivery window for passing ready orders to drive-thru customers, and a downstream in-line parking area for drive-thru vehicles having a delayed order. Proximate to and downstream from the primary food delivery window is a doorway for attendant access from the primary food delivery window to the downstream in-line parking area. An attendant runway is proximate and downstream of the doorway and proximate to the in-line vehicle waiting area. A customer with a delayed order can be directed to wait in the downstream in-line waiting area. When the delayed order is ready for delivery, an attendant can deliver the ready order via the proximate doorway and proximate attendant runway to a vehicle waiting in the in-line vehicle waiting area.

Firearms magazine for rifle length cartridges

A firearms magazine has compound tapered side walls and feed lips having substantially parallel end portions for maintaining contact with the cartridge as it is loaded. Removable inserts reduce the interior length and width to hold cartridges of different sizes. One insert has a channel along its height to protect the cartridge noses, and is held by a reinforcing member. A movable cartridge follower feeds the cartridges out of the magazine and has a pair of projections extending along its length for contacting and centering the last cartridge and a projection at one end slideable in the channel of the insert. The follower has one or more downwardly extending members to contact the floor or walls to maintain position of the follower with respect thereto. Projections extending inward from the side walls contact shoulders of the firearms cartridges in sliding relationship as they are fed out of the magazine.
