2 The invention generally relates to food quality indicators and, more particularly, to improved adhesive food quality indicators and their use and manufacture. The food quality indicators (FQI) of the invention are advantageously simple and low cost but sensitive devices for detecting unhealthy levels of food spoilage products in a sealed food product package. The FQI is affixed to a breathable or gas-permeable wrap around the product, and a visual indicator region in the FQI that is sensitive to the presence of food breakdown products allows the end user, by visual observation to determine whether microbial spoilage has occurred.

A tool is disclosed for use in forming holes in bone and for driving a cannulated fastener into the formed hole. The tool may having a cutting tip for drilling a hole into bone, and may have a shaft and sleeve for accepting the cannulated fastener and for driving it into the drilled hole. The tool may be adjustable to allow fasteners of different lengths to be accepted, while ensuring that a portion of the cutting tip protrudes beyond the end of the fastener. A model for analyzing a cashflow sensitive instrument is described that uses an optimization model of a data set associated with a cashflow sensitive instrument, which optimization model is based at least in part on an interest rate model and a cash-flow model. The interest rate model is at least partially based on at least one random variable used to simulate an underlying distribution on at least one interest rate. A model output is then generated based on the optimization model. The model outputs all optimal cashflow solution for the cashflow sensitive instrument(s) that at least partially optimizes factors of risk and / or cost. Spinal spacers 20 are provided for fusion of a motion segment. The spacers include a load bearing member 21 having a wall 22 sized for engagement within a space between adjacent vertebrae to maintain the space and an effective amount of an osteogenic composition to stimulate osteoinduction. In one embodiment the load bearing member includes a bone graft impregnated in an osteogenic composition.
