Catheter systems

Catheter systems include direction-sensitive, multi-polar tip electrode assemblies for electroporation-mediated therapy, electroporation-induced primary necrosis therapy and electric field-induced apoptosis therapy, including configurations for producing narrow, linear lesions as well as distributed, wide area lesions. A monitoring system for electroporation therapy includes a mechanism for delivering electrochromic dyes to a tissue site as well as a fiber optic arrangement to optically monitor the progress of the therapy as well as to confirm success post-therapy. A fiber optic temperature sensing electrode catheter includes a tip electrode having a cavity whose inner surface is impregnated or coated with thermochromic / thermotropic material that changes color with changes in temperature. An optic fiber / detector arrangement monitors the thermochromic or thermotropic materials, acquiring a light signal and generating an output signal indicative of the spectrum of the light signal. An analyzer determines an electrode temperature based on the detector output and predetermined spectrum versus temperature calibration data.

Debugging techniques in a multithreaded environment

A system for debugging targets using various techniques, some of which are particularly useful in a multithread environment. These techniques include implementing breakpoints using out-of-line instruction emulation so that an instruction replaced with a breakpoint instruction does not need to be returned to its original location for single-step execution, executing a debugger nub for each target as part of the target task but using a nub task thread for the nub execution that is separate from the target task threads, providing immunity from breakpoints for specified threads such as the nub thread via specialized breakpoint handlers used by those threads, and virtualizing the debugger nub such that a shared root nub provides a uniform interface between the debugger and the target while specialized nubs provide differing functionality based on the type of target being debugged.

Environmentally hardened ethernet switch

A device for hardening an Ethernet switch is disclosed. The device provides cooling for the switch, and, suppresses electrical transients and electromagnetic interference, which could affect the power supply, and data transmission of the Ethernet switch. Using this device, the Ethernet switch can be used in harsh industrial environments, such as those present in power utility substations. The Ethernet switch may comprise a dual stage isolated power supply. The dual stage isolated power supply has a first DC to DC converter for converting received power from the received voltage to an intermediate voltage. The intermediate voltage is then further converted to a voltage which can be used by the Ethernet switch. Each of the DC to DC converters also provide galvanic isolation and also transient suppression and electromagnetic interference filtering to decrease adverse electrical effects which may be inherent in the power received from an external source. The first and second DC to DC converter provides a first level of galvanic isolation which is greater than the second level of galvanic isolation provided by the second DC to DC converter. The power supply circuit can be used in an Ethernet switch as well as any other intelligent electronic device.

Mycoplasma Hyopneumoniae Avirulent Adjuvanted Live Vaccine

Provided are immunogenic and vaccine compositions and methods for their preparation and use, which compositions are effective in protecting against, minimizing the severity of, preventing, and / or ameliorating M. hyopneumoniae infection. Administration to an animal of one or two doses of an adjuvanted live avirulent M. hyopneumoniae composition disclosed herein is effective in providing immunity to the animal and protection from infection with a virulent strain of M. hyopneumoniae thereby reducing the severity of and / or preventing disease caused by one or more virulent strain of M. hyopneumoniae. Also provided are compositions, which further comprise one or more antigen such as, for example, one or more live bacteria, bacterin, toxoid, and / or virus and / or viral antigen. Exemplified are immunogenic compositions, comprising an adjuvanted live avirulent M. hyopneumoniae and compositions, comprising Porcine Circovirus Type 1-Type 2 chimera modified live vaccine (cPCV1-2) in further combination with an adjuvanted live avirulent M. hyopneumoniae.

Method of making components with releasable leads

A connection component for making connections to a microelectronic element is made by providing leads on a surface of a polymeric layer and etching the polymeric layer to partially detach the leads from the polymeric layer, leaving a portion of each lead releasably connected to the polymeric layer by a small polymeric connecting element which can be broken or peeled away from the lead. Leads in a connecting element may be covered by an insulating jacket applied by a coating process, and the insulating jacket may in turn be covered by a conductive layer so that each lead becomes a miniature coaxial cable. This arrangement provides immunity to interference and facilitates operation at high speeds.
