Technique for reducing wasted material on a printed circuit board panel

A process for assembling a rigid-flex printed circuit board (PCB) is presented. During operation, the process receives rigid-flex PCBs that are to be coupled together, wherein a rigid-flex PCB includes flexible PCBs coupled to rigid PCBs. The process then places the PCBs onto a carrier which is configured to: align the PCBs so that bond regions located on the flexible PCBs overlap with bond regions located on corresponding flexible PCBs, and apply pressure to the overlapped bond regions. The process then sends the carrier through a reflow oven which reflows solder on the PCBs so that the components become mechanically and electrically coupled to the PCBs. The temperature profile generated by the reflow oven and the pressure applied by the carrier cures and sets an anisotropic conductive film located in the bond regions so that the overlapped flexible PCBs become mechanically and electrically coupled together.

Sealed medical storage

A medical bag of multi-liquid missing type for one-shot operation for opening the weak seal portion, which makes it possible to obtain simultaneous opening of a blending medicine inlet. The medical bag 10 is formed of a soft film material and having a weak seal portion, which divides the space inside the bag into a plurality of compartments 20 and22. A blending medicine inlet port 14 is arranged adjacent the one compartment 20. The inlet port 14 includes sealed compartments 36A, 36B and 36C for storage of the respective blending medicines. The inlet port 14 is usually closed by a peel film member 44 for preventing the blending medicines from being discharged. The peel film member 44 is strongly adhered to the opposed surface of the plastic film constructing the medical bag. An integral movement of the peelable member with respect to a widening displacement of the medial bag is obtained when the weak seal 18 is opened under a pressing force, so that the peelable member 44 is separated from the inlet port 14, resulting in a discharge of the blending medicines from the compartments 36A, 36B and 36C into the medical bag.

Chordwise lay-up of fibre sheet material for turbine blades

ActiveUS20140170369A1Avoid and minimize aforementioned amountMinimizes amount of wasteEngine manufactureFinal product manufactureFiberSurface layer
The present invention relates to a fibre sheet material and method of laying up fibre sheet material to manufacture wind turbine blades. The invention further comprises a blade manufactured by the method as well a use of such a blade. One aspect relates to an oblong fibre sheet material (26) for wind turbine blades, where a surface layer (14) is having a width, which in the lateral direction is broader than a lateral, unidirectional layer (10), and lengthwise side faces of at least the surface layer is provided with a thinning of a thickness of the layer to obtain favourable joints. Another aspect concerns manufacturing a wind turbine blade shell comprising laying fibre sheet (26) materials in a blade mould (20), where the sheet materials lengthwise are positioned in a direction corresponding to a chordwise direction of a turbine blade direction of the mould and overlapping in a spanwise direction. The effect obtained is a significant reduction in the amount of waste material compared to laying fibre sheets in the spanwise direction.
