The invention provides a method for cultivating
sugar-purpose
sweet sorghum in sand wasteland. The method comprises the steps that when a
tillage mode of convention planting film mulching or furrow
cropping is adopted, wherein a mode of planting two plants in each hole is adopted in order to achieve the purpose of harvesting stalks, a mode of planting one
plant in each hole is adopted in order toachieve the purpose of harvesting seeds, and a mode of planting one
plant in each hole is adopted in order to achieve the purposes of harvesting both the stalks and the seeds; before planting after the soil is ploughed, 30t / ha farmyard
fertilizer is applied as base
fertilizer, and then 600kg / ha chemical
fertilizer is applied for topdressing, wherein a topdressing method comprises the steps that 30-35 days after
seedling emergence, 150kg / ha
urea is applied, 225kg / ha compound fertilizer is applied in the jointing period and heading period separately, the total amount of
irrigation in the growthperiod is 7,800 t / ha, the amount of film pressing water before
sowing is 600 t / ha,
irrigation from
seedling formation to ending of the growth period is conducted 6 times, and the amount of irrigationevery time is 1,200 t / ha. By means of the method, the
sugar-purpose
sweet sorghum in the sand wasteland grows and develops well and has a high biological yield, soluble
sugar accumulation, seed quality and yield, the
water saving efficiency is high, little fertilizer is used, the economic investment is low, the
water saving amount can at least reach 2,400 t / ha, and the
economic benefits are far higher than those of corn planting.
