Carrier, developer, image forming method and process cartridge

The present invention is to provide a carrier and a developer, which have fewer occurrences of carrier adhesion and background smear, excellent granularity and longer durability. The carrier comprises the core material particles having magnetism and resin coating layer covering the core material particles, and wherein the weight average particle diameters is in the range of 22 m to 32 m, the proportion of the weight average particle diameters relative to the number average particle diameter is in the range of 1.00 to 1.20, the content of particles having a diameter of 20 m or smaller is 7% by mass, the content of carrier particles having a diameter of 36 m or smaller is in the range of 90% by mass to 100% by mass, and the proportion of the particle density of the core material particles is in the range of 85% to 100% of the true density of the core material particles.

Objective lens, optical system and optical pickup apparatus

An optical system for use in an optical pickup apparatus has a chromatic aberration correcting element having plural ring-shaped zones divided with a stepped section in such a way that one of the neighboring ring-shaped zones located apart from the optical axis has a longer optical path than the other one located closer to the optical axis, and an objective lens having plural ring-shaped zones divided with a stepped section shaped in the optical axis direction in such a way that the stepped section causes a optical path difference between light fluxes having passed through the neighboring ring-shaped zones. The ring-shaped zonal structure of the chromatic aberration correcting element corrects a deviation of a focal point caused by the objective lens due to a wavelength fluctuation of an incident light flux coming into the optical system.

Method, Device and Computer Program for Identifying Items Having High Frequency of Occurrence Among Items Included in a Text Data Stream

A method, device and computer program for efficiently identifying items having a high frequency of occurrence among items included in a large-volume text data stream. Identification information for identifying an item and a count of items are stored in a higher level of memory and only identification information is stored in a lower level. Text data stream input is received, the increment of the count of an item is increased in response to storage in the higher level memory of identification information for an item included in a bucket divided from the received text data stream input, identification information for the item is transferred with the initial count to the higher level of memory in response to storage in the lower level and the identification information for the item is newly stored with the initial count in the higher level in response to not being stored on any level.
