Disclosed herein is an air duct assembly for vehicles which reduces noise generated by the flow of intake air which flows along a path of the air duct provided in a vehicle and is fed to an engine. The air duct reduces the noise of a low frequency range in initial engine start operation, and in addition, the noise of a whole frequency range, thus allowing a vehicle to be traveled while providing the environment having minimum noise to a driver and passenger riding in the vehicle. Combustion resonator

An intake combustion resonator including an enclosure which includes a resonator tube assembly passing through the enclosure. The resonator tube is formed from porous, undulated tube material and has openings formed in the tube walls. The openings serve as “tuned” passages through the porous tube walls. The resonator tube assembly is not centrally located within the enclosure but rather it is offset both in a height and a width orientation. The size, spacing, and orientation of the tube openings, porous, undulated sleeve material, the design of the enclosure, and the placement of the tube within the enclosure, all act in concert to give rise to the noise abatement properties of the present invention.

Filter silencer

A filter silencer is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the silencer includes a housing, a silencer chamber disposed inside the housing, and a filter chamber disposed between a sidewall of the housing and the silencer chamber. An intake port is in communication with the filter chamber and ambient air. The filter chamber also includes a filter chamber outlet that is in communication with a compressor or air blower, for example. A silencer chamber inlet is in communication with an exhaust of the compressor or air blower, where an air flow is forced through the silencer and out a discharge port. The discharge port and the intake port are at opposing ends of the silencer. In addition, the silencer includes at least one baffle secured within the silencer chamber, where the baffle is configured to generate a non-directional interference with the air flow to assist in silencing the discharge.
