System, method and apparatus for evaluating tissue temperature

Method, system and apparatus for monitoring target tissue temperatures wherein temperature sensors are configured as passive resonant circuits each, with a unique resonating signature at monitoring temperatures extending below a select temperature setpoint. The resonant circuits are configured with an inductor component formed of windings about a ferrite core having a Curie temperature characteristic corresponding with a desired temperature setpoint. By selecting inductor winding turns and capacitance values, unique resonant center frequencies are detectable. Temperature monitoring can be carried out with implants at lower threshold and upper limit temperature responses. Additionally, the lower threshold sensors may be combined with auto-regulated heater implants having Curie transitions at upper temperature limits.

Fiberboard quality classification method based on machine vision

The invention relates to the field of artificial intelligence, in particular to a fiberboard quality classification method based on machine vision. The method includes: acquiring a fiberboard surface grayscale image; performing sliding window processing on the grey-scale map on the surface of the fiberboard to obtain a plurality of sliding window areas; calculating the smoothness of a central pixel point of the sliding window; taking the pixel point corresponding to the minimum smoothness as a target pixel point, and obtaining a plurality of target connected domains; obtaining gradient amplitudes of pixel points in each target connected domain to construct a corresponding gradient histogram, calculating the probability that each target connected domain is a defect area, and determining all defect areas; calculating the probability of each gray value as a standard gray value, and determining the standard gray value; and calculating the quality coefficient of the fiberboard according to the gray average value of each defect area, and classifying the quality of the fiberboard. By analyzing the glossiness of the surface image of the fiberboard, the defect that the spatial domain feature is not obvious can be detected, so that the detection result is more accurate, and the product classification accuracy and the repair timeliness are improved; and the production efficiency is effectively improved.

Bioabsorbable implant of hyaluronic acid derivative for treatment of osteochondral and chondral defects

A method for treating an osteochondral defect or a chondral defect in a subject includes implanting a composite in a site of the osteochondral or chondral defect. The composite includes a hyaluronic acid derivative; and at least one member of the group consisting of a cell, a cellular growth factor and a cellular differentiation factor, which is impregnated in, or coupled to, the hyaluronic acid derivative. In one embodiment, carboxyl functionalities of the hyaluronic acid derivative are each independently derivatized to include an N-acylurea or O-acyl isourea, or both N-acylurea and O-acyl isourea. In another embodiment, the hyaluronic acid derivative is prepared by reacting an uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid with a biscarbodimide in the presence of a pH buffer in a range of between about 4 and about 8. The composite can be used for regenerating or stimulating regeneration of meniscal tissues in a subject in need thereof.

Root-Cause Analysis System And Associated Methods

A method for determining a root cause of a problem in a multiple-element system includes correlating an incoming alarm signal with an element x in a multiple-element system and accessing an implication list comprising a list of all elements upstream of element x. At least one element on the implication list is weighted with data relating to the at least one element. Taking into account the weighting step, a probability is calculated that an element on the implication list comprises a most-probable root cause of the subsequent alarm signal. The identified most-probable root cause of the incoming alarm signal is output.
