The tower type screening method comprises the following steps: S1, an ore sand primary selection process, wherein, the ore sand flows from the top of a material separating filter net a to the bottom of the lower part of the material separating filter net a, and the ore sand with the particle size smaller than the diameter of a filter hole a falls into a material gathering cavity a and moves in the guide direction of a center flow channel, the ore sand continues to flow downwards and falls into a material separating filter netb, and the ore sand with the particle size smaller than the diameter of a filter hole b is filtered by the material separating filter net b, and the ore sand with the particle size larger than diameter the filter holes b is discharged from the opening at the lower end of the material separating filter net b; and S2, an ore sand secondary selection process, wherein, and the ore sand discharged fromthe opening at the lower end of the material separating filter net b flows to the center position of the top of a screening net a, the ore sand with the particle size smaller than the diameter of a filter hole c is filtered by the screening net a and falls into a material gathering cavity b, the ore sand which slides from the periphery of the screening a is received by a screening net b and flowsto a designated position under the guide of the screening net b, in the process, the ore sand with the particle size smaller than the diameter of a filter hole d is filtered out by the screening netb, and the ore sand with the particle size larger than the diameter of the filter hole d is guided to a designated position through an external flow channel.
