Ion beam monitoring arrangement

This invention relates to an ion beam monitoring arrangement for use in an ion implanter where it is desirable to monitor the flux and / or a cross-sectional profile of the ion beam used for implantation. It is often desirable to measure the flux and / or cross-sectional profile of an ion beam in an ion implanter in order to improve control of ion implantation of a semiconductor wafer or similar. The present invention describes adapting the wafer holder to allow such beam profiling to be performed. The substrate holder may be used progressively to occlude the ion beam from a downstream flux monitor or a flux monitor may be located on the wafer holder that is provided with a slit entrance aperture.

Cotton verticillium wilt resistant seedling stage identification method

The invention belongs to the technical field of cotton disease resistance breeding and specifically relates to a cotton verticillium wilt resistant seedling stage identification method. The method provided by the invention comprises the following main steps of: firstly carrying out shaking culture on cotton verticillium wilt germ 6SY2-37 collected in China Center for Type Culture Collection with the collection number being CCTCC NO: M2011095 in a Czapek's liquid medium at the temperature of 25 DEG C for 5d, filtering by the use of gauze, counting by the use of a blood cell counting panel, preparing 5*106 spore/ml, pulling up seedling with a matrix when the water-planting cotton seedling grows to a stage of two leaves and one core, cutting 1cm of water root, dipping the root for 10s and inoculating, embedding wet soil into a plastic earthen bowl, inoculating pathogen, immediately watering to prevent the cotton seedling from fading, inoculating for 10 days and causing the disease. The method provided by the invention has advantages of high survival rate of the cotton seedling after inoculation, uniform inoculated pathogen, rapid morbidity, convenient operation and good stability of results. In addition, the method takes short time, requires short seedling growing time and is convenient to manage. Therefore, the method is suitable for cotton verticillium wilt resistance identification and pathogen pathogenicity differentiation determination of large-batch materials.

Imaging lens

An imaging lens, although compact, has satisfactorily corrected aberrations. The imaging lens is configured by disposing, in sequence from the object side, a stop (ST); a first lens (L1), which has a double convex shape near the optical axis; a meniscus-shaped negative second lens (L2) which has near the optical axis a convex surface facing the object side; a meniscus-shaped positive third lens (L3) which has near the optical axis a concave surface facing the object side; and a positive fourth lens (L4) which has a double convex shape near the optical axis. In the configuration, the refractive power of the first lens (L1) is greater than the refractive power of each of the second lens (L2), the third lens (L3), and the fourth lens (L4).

The invention relates to a sugarcane variety xanthomonas albilineans indoor resistance identification method. The method includes: bacterial suspension culture of sugarcane xanthomonas albilineans pathogenic bacteria, seedling cultivation of sugarcane variety or strain, inoculation identification and disease investigation. The method identifies the sugarcane variety xanthomonas albilineans resistance by means of leaf cutting inoculation, the method is close to the condition of artificially inoculated xanthomonas albilineans pathogenesis, and can indicate the resistance level of sugarcane variety to xanthomonas albilineans visually. Indoor inoculation is not disturbed by external environmental factors, has the characteristics of significant sugarcane variety incidence, good reproducibility, strong operability, simple operation, and low requirements for experimental equipment, and is convenient to carry out sugarcane variety xanthomonas albilineans resistance identification. The sugarcane variety xanthomonas albilineans indoor resistance identification method provided by the invention provides technical support for sugarcane xanthomonas albilineans resistance breeding, can quickly and accurately identify and evaluate the sugarcane variety xanthomonas albilineans resistance, saves and resources, labors and material resources, and greatly shortens the breeding period of xanthomonasalbilineans resistant sugarcane varieties.

Efficient smut inoculation method for sugarcane seedlings

A smut inoculation method for sugarcane seedlings comprises the steps as follows: after seven true leaves of each seedling are grown out, the seedling is pulled out from an incubator, the middle-upper parts of the leaves are cut off, 2-3 old leaves at the base part are removed, a spore suspension with the ustilago scitaminea syd concentration of 1*10<7> spores/ml is adopted for soaking the middle-lower part of the pulled seedling for 10 min, and the seedling is sealed, placed in a room at the temperature of 25-28 DEG C overnight in a moisture preserving manner, transplanted in a nutrient bag next day and planted in the field after survived; and combination morbidity is researched during final selection, combination with the combination morbidity higher than 25% is eliminated, and seedlings with good and healthy characters are screened out to enter a next stage for observation. According to the invention, morbidity of the seedlings inoculated with ustilago scitaminea syd are remarkable, the reproducibility is good, the test cycle is short, the operability is high, the cost is low, and a large quantity of seedlings can be inoculated; and the method can be applied to a sugarcane variety breeding institution for new sugarcane variety breeding resistant to sugarcane smut.

Leading edge device for an aircraft

A leading edge section of an aircraft wing comprises a main wing body portion, a droop nose high-lift device mounted adjacent to the fore region of the main wing body portion, and a door. The droop nose high-lift device is moveable between a stowed position and a first deployed position. When the droop nose high-lift device is in the first deployed position and the door is in an open position, an air flow region is exposed such that, during use, air flows through the air flow region from the lower surface to the wing upper surface of the wing. The door is also arranged to be moved during flight to control the amount of airflow through said air flow region.

Inoculation method for appraising sugarcane mosaic disease resistance

The invention provides an inoculation method for identifying the disease resistance to sugarcane mosaic virus. The method mainly comprises the following steps: inoculating virus source living bodies which propagate are stored on a sugarcane plant; before the inoculation, young disease leaves of the plant are cut into fine pieces, ground into a homogenate in the presence of a phosphate buffer solution and filtered with double-layer gauze to obtain a filtrate which is the virus inoculant; in a cool evening during the sugarcane growth period, the aerial part of the sugarcane plant are rapidly cut along the soil surface with a sharp blade or scissors, a drop of virus inoculant is sucked immediately with a dropper and dropped into the underground wound surface of the sugarcane so that the virus inoculant contacts with the wound surface and viruses invades the plant; and the wound surface is uncovered after being shaded for 24 hours. With the method, sugarcane mosaic virus after being inoculated develops remarkably and uniformly, the sensitivity is high, and the result stability is good. The method has the advantages that the process is simple, rapid, standardized and practical; the manual rubbing of sugarcane leaves is obviated, and the head scuffing is prevented so that the operability is higher and the inoculation efficiency is higher; and the identification result is closer to the field naturally-infected result so that the method is suitable for rapidly carrying out the identifying and the screening of mosaic virus resistance to large-scale material.

Microlithographic illumination method and a projection lens for carrying out the method

A microlithographic illumination method for imaging a pattern arranged in an object plane of a projection lens onto an image plane of the projection lens, under which a special means for optically correcting the optical path lengths of s-polarized and p-polarized light such that light beams of both polarizations will either traverse essentially the same optical path length between the object plane and the image plane or any existing difference in their optical path lengths will be retained, largely independently of their angles of incidence on the image plane, which will allow avoiding contrast variations due to pattern orientation when imaging finely structured patterns, is disclosed. The contrast variations may be caused by uncorrected projection lenses due to their employment of materials that exhibit stress birefringence and / or coated optical components, such as deflecting mirrors, that are used at large angles of incidence.
