The invention provides a liquid crystal composition which comprises the following components by weight: 1%-80% of a component A, 1%-50% of a component B, 1%-30% of a component C and 1%-25% of a component D, wherein the component A is one or more compounds represented by a formula I; the component B is one or more compounds represented by a formula II; the component C is one or more compounds represented by a formula III; the component D is one or more compounds represented by a formula IV; and the liquid crystal composition has an optical birefringence delta n of 0.08-0.15 and has a moderate refraction range. The liquid crystal composition provided by the invention has low viscosity, good comprehensive properties of dielectric anisotropy, clearing point and optical anisotropy, can increasea corresponding speed of a liquid crystal display, can be used in a TN, ADS, FFS or IPS model display to significantly improve a display effect of the liquid crystal display, and is especially suitable for fast response liquid crystal display devices.
