A method and device for realizing time synchronization

The base station system comprises a main unit, at least one remote radio unit, an optical fiber and a clock synchronization server, wherein the optical fiber is used for transmitting information between the main unit and the at least one remote radio unit; the clock synchronization server is allocated at a position close to one end of the at least one remote radio unit or is integrated with the at least one remote radio unit together; the clock synchronization server is used for transmitting synchronous data between the clock synchronization server and the main unit through the optical fiber so as to enable the main unit to carry out configuration processing according to the synchronous data and realize the time synchronization between the main unit and the clock synchronization server. Through the scheme provided by the invention, the time synchronization between the main unit and the clock synchronization server is realized, so that the selection of a station point of the main unit of the system can be more flexible and convenient, equipment is simple, and the cost is low.
