A crystal oscillator used as a clock source and further having an angular velocity detection capability is provided with: a tuning fork type crystal unit provided with excitation electrodes for exciting tuning fork vibration and sensing electrodes for detecting electric charge generated by the Coriolis force; an oscillation circuit connected to the excitation electrodes for both exciting the tuning fork vibration and for supplying a clock signal as output based on the tuning fork vibration; and a detection circuit connected to the sensing electrodes for supplying an angular velocity signal in accordance with the electric charge. The tuning fork crystal unit has first and second tuning fork arms for realizing the tuning fork vibration. The excitation electrodes are provided on the side surfaces of the first tuning fork arm and the sensing electrodes are provided on the side surfaces of the second tuning fork arm.

Downsizing and improvement in operating efficiency of a control circuit of a display device is achieved. Two video data storage units that have conventionally been used in a control circuit are combined into one, and an address area thereof is divided in half. One of the areas is used as a writing area while the other is used as a reading area, and these areas are alternately switched at regular intervals, for example per frame period. Video data reading from the video data storage unit is performed not in synchronous with a half-cycle of a source clock. Instead, a predetermined quantity of video data is read out continuously in a plurality of consecutive clock cycles, and the video data is temporarily held in a read-out video data storage unit and the like so as to be transmitted to a display panel at any time desired. Write-in operation is performed in the period in which the read-out operation is not performed until a write-in video data storage unit is completely rewritten.

The invention provides a method and device for preparing a flexible electronic circuit through liquid metal. A heat evaporation technology or a sputtering technology is adopted, the liquid metal is used as an evaporation source or a sputtering source, liquid metal particles are obtained through heat evaporation or bombardment sputtering to be deposited on the surface of a flexible substrate, and a liquid metal film is formed. The method is simple and practicable, and small size forming of the flexible electronic circuit is facilitated. In addition, the preparing device is simple in structure, two manners of heat evaporation and sputtering can be carried out on a liquid metal target, and therefore use is flexible.

Vehicle cooling device

A vehicle cooling device includes a pump, circulation paths connected to the pump for circulating coolant between a cooling object and a heat exchanger, a solenoid valve for opening and closing at least one of the circulation paths, and a control unit for controlling pump operation. The solenoid valve includes a valve body movable between a position separated from a valve seat and a position abutting the valve seat, the valve body being held in abutment with the valve seat, and a solenoid maintaining the abutment when energized. The valve body allows coolant fluid pressure to move the valve body separate from the valve seat when the solenoid is not energized and the pump is in operation, and the control unit performs controlling to stop the pump and start solenoid energization when conditions are ready for stopping coolant circulation through the circulation path in which the solenoid valve is disposed.

Power supply unit and portable device

A step-like operation command signal is inputted into a time-constant circuit to generate a gradually rising operation command input voltage, which is supplied to a power supply unit. Enablement and disablement of the power supply unit is controlled on the basis of the operational command input voltage. When the operation command input voltage exceeds a first predetermined voltage level, a detection signal and a reference voltage are generated, and at the same time an error amplification circuit is enabled. On the other hand, when the operation command input voltage exceeds a second predetermined voltage level, a level shift voltage for initiating a soft start is generated, which enables execution of a soft start of the power supply unit without increasing its consumption current and reduction of the number of its terminals.

An aperture apparatus includes a substrate having a lens opening, a first aperture sector having a first aperture opening, a second aperture sector having a second aperture opening, and a drive pin that is engaged in cam openings respectively formed in the first aperture sector and in the second aperture sector and that swings the first aperture sector and the second aperture sector. The first aperture sector and the second aperture sector are located in receding positions from the lens opening, when the drive pin is in an initial position. The cam openings include a swing region and a non-swing region, the swing region guiding a corresponding sector to the lens opening as the drive pin moves from the initial position, the non-swing region retaining the other sector in the receding position, when one of the first aperture sector and the second aperture sector is guided to the lens opening.
