Scope adjustment method and apparatus

A rifle scope system allows adjustment of the scope while a shooter maintains the shooting posture and the scope sight picture. The scope system comprises an adjustment system comprising an electromechanical mechanism that responds to a signal from a remote controller manipulated by the shooter without having to significantly disturb the shooting posture. The adjustment system allows the shooter to adjust the scope's point of aim to coincide with a bullet's point of impact at a target. Such adjustment can be performed either by the shooter. Alternatively, such adjustment could be performed by a processor configured to adjust the point of aim based on a ballistic parameter associated with the bullet or the shooting environment. The adjustment system allows such processor-determined adjustments to be effected in a quick manner.

Variable sector-count ECC

Improved memory devices, circuitry, and data methods are described that facilitate the detection and correction of data in memory systems or devices by increasing the data area of user data being covered by the ECC code. This averages any possible bit errors over a larger data area and allows a greater number of errors to be corrected by a combining the ECC codes in the coverage area without substantially changing the overall size of ECC codes being stored over a single sector approach. In one embodiment of the present invention, the size of the data block utilized for ECC coverage is variable and can be selected such that differing areas of the memory array or data types can have a differing ECC data coverage sizes. It is also noted that the ECC algorithm, math base or encoding scheme can also be varied between these differing areas of the memory array.

GNSS based control for dispensing material from vehicle

A spray control method employs a spray vehicle including a material tank, a pump communicating with the tank, and nozzles of a spray boom communicating with the pump. A GNSS receiver mounted on the vehicle and interfaced to a controller tracks its position in relation to stored position coordinates of field boundaries separating spray zones from spray exclusion zones. The tank is activated and deactivated by the controller to retain spray of the material within the spray zones and to prevent spray of the material in the exclusion zones, by processing an offset of the spray nozzles from the receiver, the spray range of the nozzles, spray turn-on and turn-off lag times, and the velocity of the spray vehicle, all in relation to the field boundaries. An alternative embodiment individually controls spray from the nozzles by using associated valves interfaced to the controller.
