The invention discloses a smart
ball valve and belongs to the field of pressure valves. The smart
ball valve comprises a valve body, a
leak detector and a support, wherein the
leak detector and the support are mounted on the valve body. A transmission device mounted on the support is connected with two driven gears through two driving gears, connected with the transmission device, on a spindle, wherein the two driven gears on two valve stems are connected with two independent balls mounted in the valve body together. A bidirectional
clutch is mounted between the two driving gears, and a sealing ball in the valve body and a
valve seat on the valve body form a sealing unit. Another sealing ball in the valve body and a movable
valve seat in the valve body form a second sealing unit. The actions of the transmission device include two stages: in the first stage, one of the balls stops after rotating by 90 degrees; in the second stage, the
leak detector transmits signals to the transmission device after detecting leak after the first stage, the transmission device automatically acts while the other sealing ball is stopped after rotating by 90 degrees, and the transmission device is kept still when no leaks are detected by the leak
detector. The bidirectional
clutch is separated from one of the driving gears while being meshed with the other driving gear after the first stage and before the second stage. The smart
ball valve is good in sealing performance, and the valve still stays in tightly-sealed no-leak state even if one of the sealing units leaks. The smart ball valve is simple in structure and convenient to operate and maintain, and the service life thereof is greatly prolonged.
