A manually manipulated assistive device for facilitating opening and closing a door by a handicapped person, especially one in a wheelchair. An elongated slender body preferably formed of a single transparent rigid plastic rod has a straight central portion, a hook formed at one end like a shepherd's hook and a hand or finger grasping handle at another end of the rod. The hook is adapted for snug snapping engagement over a neck area of a doorknob and, thereafter, for loose swinging supported movement relative to the doorknob. The rod has a length sufficient for the device to be held and pivoted on the hook about the neck area into a generally horizontal position by user grasping the handle to open or close the door. A retaining clip attached to the door at a height above the floor similar to that of the doorknob holds the device in a generally horizontal orientation stored ready for use.

The invention relates to a device for eliminating the flying lateral force of an aircraft at a high angle of attack, which comprises a thin film support frame and a retraction and extension mechanism. A retraction and extension seam is formed on a skin over the front part of the head part of the aircraft; a hinge (12) is fixedly arranged at the zenith of the head part in the aircraft, and the center of the hinge is positioned on the axial line of the aircraft; the thin film support frame is mounted in the aircraft, and the thin film support frame is positioned on the longitudinal symmetric plane of the aircraft; and the zenith end of a triangle of the thin film support frame is connected with the hinge (12) at the zenith of the head part of the aircraft, and can rotate around the center of the hinge (12). When the aircraft flies within the flying range of the high angle of attack, the thin film support frame is popped up, a film chip realizes the self-excited vibration in airflow, produces the unsteady flow around the film chip and realizes the control of asymmetric vortex, thereby eliminating the lateral force; when the aircraft recovers the small angle of attack state, the retraction and extension mechanism retracts the support frame into a front body of a slender body. The device is applicable to the aircrafts with the head taper of less than 42 degrees and characterized by simple structure and reliable performance.

Eddy current generating device for controlling lateral force of large-incidence-angle slender body

The invention relates to an eddy current generating device for controlling a lateral force of a large-incidence-angle slender body. A rotating mechanism is installed inside a conical head part of an aircraft, and the axis of the rotating mechanism is overlapped with that of the aircraft; a retraction jack is installed inside the conical head part of the aircraft and positioned between the rotating mechanism and the top end of the conical head part of the aircraft; a micro triangular wing in the retraction jack is arranged on the top end outside the conical head part of the aircraft. The micro triangular wing is driven by an electric telescoping rod to do telescoping movement along the axis direction of the aircraft. Unsteady weak turbulent flow generated by the micro triangular wing under the effect of airflow is used for performing the proportional control on the lateral force within the range of an angle of attack being 25 to 60 degree, and the control range of the lateral force coefficient is -3 to 3. The micro triangular wing can be withdrawn into the conical head part of the aircraft under the situations of zero lateral force and small lateral force, no additional resistance is produced, and the eddy current generating device is applicable to the aircraft with a taper angle being more than 30 degrees. The eddy current generating device has the characteristics of simplicity in structure, reliability in performance and the like.
