The invention relates to a vertical
elevator for a wind
turbine tower, which comprises a cage, a
power unit, a lifting-point crossbeam and a rigid guide rail, wherein the upper, middle and lower parts of the cage are provided with guide limiting devices; the cage has multiple
safety control functions such as double safety lock protection, guide limiting protection, manual descent, escape from the top, alarming and the like; an
electric control device and an electric climbing hoist drive the
power unit, so that the cage vertically moves along the fixed rigid guide rail to safely, easily and conveniently convey people and objects to an appointed position; and
mechanization replaces the traditional manual
climb, the labor intensity is reduced, and the work efficiency and safety are improved. The vertical
elevator has a compact structure, is suitable for a narrow space, particularly the wind
turbine tower, and also can be widely applied to places requiring vertical loading and transportation, such as wind
turbine towers, high-rise buildings, towers in the field of military science, large gantry cranes, deep mines, anemometer towers, testing observation towers and the like.
