Method for controlling multi-priority connection congestion time windows in multi-path TCP

The invention discloses a method for controlling multi-priority connection congestion time windows in a multi-path TCP (transmission control protocol) and belongs to the field of a network communication technology. The method is applied to terminal equipment including a multi-core processor and multiple independent physical network interfaces and the network communication process where multiple TCP paths are established by multiple tasks via MPTCP. When the TCP congestion time windows of high-priority tasks are required to be increased, the congestion time windows are constantly ensured as the maximum value of the TCP congestion time windows of all present tasks by the method; when the TCP passageway generation data packets of the high-priority tasks lose, the TCP congestion time windows of various tasks on the same network interface are reduced by one half via the method. When multiple tasks perform network communication via MPTCP and various tasks can select transmission paths with better performances by the method, the high-priority tasks can acquire more network resources; thus the communication service quality of the high-priority tasks can be ensured even if the reception requests of the present TCP path are overmuch and congested.

A transmission control protocol (TCP) communication method includes: a) a first client device or a first relay device connected to the first client device sending to a second client device or to a second relay device connected to the second client device a message for initializing a TCP connection on a “first” path, the message including a TCP option indicating that the first client device or the first relay device seeks to participate both in a TCP connection and in a multipath connection over the first path; b) the devices participating in a TCP connection and in a multipath connection over the first path; and c) if at least one of the two client devices or one of the two relay devices observes an anomaly concerning the multipath connection, the first client device and the second client device using the TCP connection to exchange payload data.

The invention discloses a multi-path TCP network coding transmission system and method based on packet loss distinguishing in a vehicle ad hoc network. In the vehicle ad hoc network, as the vehicle moving speed is high, the network topological structure of the node in the VANET changes rapidly. Besides, in a wireless vehicle-mounted network environment, the wireless vehicle-mounted network is easily interfered by external environment factors (such as noise, wireless signal attenuation, buildings and the like), so that the transmission efficiency of data in the VANET is greatly reduced. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, judging whether a data packet is lost or not in the sending process of the data packet; secondly, in the case of data packet loss, reasons for data packet loss can be detected, and different processing can be carried out according to the reasons for packet loss on different sub-streams. Experimental simulation shows that compared with a conventional multi-path TCP transmission method, the method provided by the invention not only saves network resources, but also has advantages in network parameters such as throughput and time delay.

Some embodiments relate to a user equipment device (UE), and associated methods for performing ROHC header compression on TCP packets with MPTCP option enabled. In some embodiments, a compressor may determine that a first portion of the stream of data packets is formatted according to the transmission control protocol (TCP) with a multipath TCP (MPTCP) option enabled. The compressor may establishcontext with a corresponding decompressor and may operate in one of three modes of compression based on the context. In some embodiments, when the context indicates that the corresponding decompressorsupports decompression of TCP data packets with MPTCP option enabled, the compressor may operate in a first or second mode of compression. In some embodiments, when the context indicates that the corresponding decompressor does not support decompression of TCP data packets with MPTCP option enabled, the compressor may operation in a third mode of compression.
