The assembly further includes at least one deformable seal positioned to be at the situs of engagement of the valve member with the valve seat body. The at least one seal is preconfigured with a recess facing the situs to form a pocket to trap fluid therein as the valve member approaches the engagement, which reduces the velocity of the valve member moving toward the engagement and reduces the impact force of the valve member on the valve seat body. Furthermore, the fluid disposed within the pocket also reduces the axial load on the valve member and valve seat body.

A shock-absorber subassembly for a subsurface drilling assembly is disclosed. The shock-absorber subassembly comprises a mandrel, a body assembly, and at least one torsional spring assembly. The mandrel has a bore extending therethrough and has one end connectable to a portion of the subsurface drilling assembly. The body assembly has a bore extending therethrough and one end connectable to another portion of the subsurface drilling assembly. The body assembly is coupled to the mandrel to establish fluid communication between the bore of the mandrel and the bore of the body assembly and to permit planar rotational movement of the mandrel relative to the body assembly. The at least one torsional spring assembly engages the mandrel and the body assembly to absorb torsional shocks and vibrations between the mandrel and the body assembly and to limit the degree of planar rotation between the mandrel and the body assembly. In a second embodiment, the body assembly is coupled to the mandrel to permit axial movement as well as planar rotational movement. In this second embodiment, the shock-absorber subassembly further comprises at least one axial spring assembly engaging the mandrel and the body assembly to absorb axial shocks and vibrations between the mandrel and the body assembly.

By using the test bed, the installing and working process of the anchor rod can be simulated in a laboratory, and one or multiple combined external forces such as torsion, stretching, bending, shearing and impact are applied to the anchor rod; and mutually independent loading systems are adopted to apply corresponding loads to the anchor rod, so as to carry out independent experiments of various loads in the installing and working process of the anchor rod or a combined loading test of a plurality of any working stresses such as stretching, shearing and impact caused by installation stress and surrounding rock deformation, thereby effectively testing the integrated mechanical properties of the anchor rod under the combined action of various different external forces.

A device and a method are disclosed for testing a curved panel assembly, which simulates a segment of an aircraft fuselage barrel section, subjected to combined loading. The device includes an axial load head assembly attached to the test panel assembly via one axial load fitting and configured to apply an axial load to the test panel assembly, and an axial-torsion reaction box connected to the axial load head assembly via linear journal bearing assemblies, where the axial-torsion reaction box is configured to be rotated by a pair of torsional loading systems to apply a torsional load to the test panel assembly. The device also includes a gore section attached to hoop load fittings of the test panel assembly, configured to provide degrees of freedom that constrain the test panel assembly to load and deflect as it would naturally in an actual fuselage barrel, form a plenum box to apply an internal pressure load, and provide hoop loading systems that complete the full hoop load application to the test panel assembly. A fixed reaction box attached to the test panel assembly via another axial load fitting rigidly attaches the test panel to the self-reacting frame, completing the internal load path of the overall system.

A hydraulic loading system is started to provide pressure oil to the axial loading cylinder and the radial loading cylinder, the electric mainshaft drives a test mainshaft to rotate, the radial loading cylinder exerts radial force on a first test accompanying bearing and a second test accompanying bearing through a radial loading sleeve, and the radial loading cylinder exerts axial force on a first test bearing and a second test bearing through an axial loading sleeve. The entire test is controlled by a computer to display parameters of the rotating speed, the axial load and the radial load, the oil pressure, the cooling water temperature, the bearing temperature, the bearing vibration, the power current of the electric mainshaft and the test time, and the parameters are saved in a computer database and analyzed.
