A process for the preparation of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives of the formula I: wherein R is hydrogen, halogen or a C1-C4 alkyl group; R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, a straight or branched C1-C6 alkyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more halogen atoms, hydroxyl, N(C1-C4 alkyl)2, carbamoyl or C1-C4 alkoxy radicals, a C1-C6 alkyl hydroxy group, a C3-C6 cycloalkyl radical, a benzyl radical, a phenyl radical or R1 and R2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded are joined together to form a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group optionally containing one or more additional heterocyclic atoms; and R3 and R4 are independently hydrogen, halogen or a C1-C4 alkyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, the process comprising (a) reacting an imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine carboxylic acid of the formula II wherein R, R3 and R4 have the aforestated meanings with a halogenating agent in the absence of a solvent to form an acid halide intermediate and (b) reacting the acid halide intermediate with an amine of the formula HNR1R2 wherein R1 and R2 have the aforestated meanings to form the compound of formula I.

The invention provides an inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase IV shown in formula (I). In the formula, R1 is hydrogen, chlorine, fluorine, bromine, hydroxide radical or alkoxy radical of C1-C6; R2 is hydrogen, fluorine, bromine or hydroxide radical; but R1 can not be the hydroxide or the alkoxy radical of C1-C6 when R2 is hydrogen; and R3 is hydrogen or fluorine. The compound can be used for treating or preventing diseases related with the dipeptidyl peptidase IV, such as diabetes mellitus, obesity and hyperlipoidemia. The invention also provides a method for preparing a compound shown in the formula (I), a preparation method of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and a pharmaceutical composition thereof, and an application of the compound, the pharmaceutically acceptable salt and the pharmaceutical composition thereof in medicines used for treating or preventing the diseases related with the dipeptidyl peptidase IV.

In chemical formula 1, R is a substituted or non-substituted monovalent hydrocarbon radical or the alkoxy radical.

Method for producing spherial polysilsesquioxane particles

The invention relates to a method for producing spherial polysilsesquioxane particles, in which: in a first step, trialkoxysilane of general formula (I) RSiOR1 3 (I), where R is a hydrocarbon radicalwith between 1 and 16 carbon atoms, the carbon chain thereof being able to be broken by non-adjacent groups -O-, and R1 is a C1- to C4 alkoxy radical, is reacted with acidified water having a maximumpH value of 6, and mixed to form a hydrolysate; in a second step, the hydrolysate is mixed with a solution of a base in water or C1- to C4-alkanol; in a third step, the mixture is stored for at least2 hours; and in a fourth step, the polysilsesquioxane particles are spray-dried. The invention also relates to the polysilsesquioxane particles that can be produced according to said method.
