The invention relates to a disk
brake (1) for a vehicle, in particular for a utility vehicle, comprising a
brake disk having a
brake-disk axis of rotation (2), a brake caliper (3), in particular a sliding caliper, which has an application section (3a) and a back section (3b), at least two brake pads (4, 5), which each have a pad back plate (4a, 5a) provided with a pad-retaining spring (6, 7), which brake pads are each supported under preload by a pad-retaining clip (8) releasably fastened to the brake caliper (3) and of which brake pads an application-side
brake pad (4) is associated with theapplication section (3a) and a back-side
brake pad (5) is associated with the back section (3b), and a securing device (10) for securing the position of the pad-retaining clip (8), which securing device forms a releasable connection between the pad-retaining clip (8) and the pad back plate (5a) of the back-side
brake pad (5). The securing device (10) has at least one clip element (11) and at leastone
retainer (12, 12'), wherein, in an installed state of the pad-retaining clip (8), at least one section (11e) of the at least one clip element (11) is in engagement with at least one section (12b,12c, 5c) of the
retainer (12, 12'), and wherein, during installation / removal of the pad-retaining clip, the at least one section (11e) of the at least one clip element (11) can be moved against a
spring force of said at least one section (11e) or of at least one section (11d) of the at least one clip element (11) that is connected to said section (11e). The invention further relates to a corresponding brake pad set (100).
