The invention relates to a method for detecting whether after-drought re-watering compensatory growth of corn in the
seedling stage happens or not. The method includes the following steps that firstly, corn seedlings are obtained to be divided into a
test group a and a comparison group b at random; secondly, after-drought re-watering treatment is carried out on the
test group a, sufficient water is supplied to the comparison set b all the time, and content of ribosylzeatin in leaves of the corn seedlings of the
test group a and the comparison group b is detected periodically; thirdly, by comparing the content of the ribosylzeatin in the leaves of the corn seedlings of the test group a and the content of the ribosylzeatin in the leaves of the corn seedlings of the comparison group b, whether after-drought re-watering compensatory growth of the corn in the
seedling stage happens or not is determined. The method can effectively detect whether after-drought re-watering compensatory growth of the corn in the
seedling stage happens or not, and plays an important role in reducing the number of
water supply times of the corn in the seedling stage, utilizing water in a concentrated mode and saving water. According to the method, materials obtained for detection are few, consumed time is short, and results are accurate.
