A sliding assisting apparatus assists a movable body to move between a drawn-out position and a drawn-in position. The apparatus includes a unit main body to be attached to a main body or the movable body, and a pair of strikers to be attached to the main body or movable body. The unit main body includes a pair of sliders slidably disposed inside a case, lock members movably supported on the respective sliders, coupling parts provided on the case for engaging the lock members, and an urging device provided between the sliders for accumulating a force when the sliders slide away from the other. One striker switches one slider between a case restrained position in which one coupling part engages one lock member and a case restraint released position in which the one coupling part releases the one lock member.

Eas Reader Detecting Eas Function From Rfid Device

A reader device for electronic article surveillance (EAS) is disclosed which includes an exciter; a transmitter, the transmitter operatively coupled to the exciter via a first signal gate; a transmitter antenna operatively coupled to the transmitter; a receiver antenna operatively coupled to a receiver front end; and a signal detector, the receiver front end operatively coupled to the signal detector via a second signal gate, wherein the exciter generates a burst of electromagnetic energy in a pulse or a continuous wave at an operating frequency of a radiofrequency identification (RFID) tag within a read range of the EAS reader such that the energy level of the burst generates a residual or ring-down signal from the RFID tag indicating the presence of the RFID tag without activating the RED functions of the tag. The ring-down signal is read by the EAS reader as an EAS function.

PAPI 1 style a TILT system

A Style A PAPI system comprises a plurality of identical lamp housing assemblies, each with one or more lamps and each housing assembly including a tilt circuit. A master control includes a microcontroller that supplies an inverted 1 KHz, 50% duty cycle pulse signal to each tilt circuit through a corresponding blocking diode. Each of the tilt circuits includes an optical pendulum tilt switch that responds to tilting of the housing assembly. DC power is developed in each tilt circuit from one phase of the pulse signal. A pair of steering diodes and a voltage divider network enable return pulses to be supplied back to the microcontroller via the same wires that deliver the pulse train. The returned pulses exhibit different voltages corresponding to tilt and no tilt conditions of the tilt switch. Visual indications of the status of each tilt circuit are presented at the tilt circuits and at the master control. The microcontroller disables all of the lamps in the system unless a no tilt voltage is received from every lamp housing assembly.

Pumping system for generating a vacuum and method for pumping by means of this pumping system

The present invention relates to a pumping system to generate a vacuum (SP), comprising a main vacuum pump which is a claw pump (3) having a gas suction inlet (2) connected to a vacuum chamber (1) and a gas discharge outlet (4) leading into a gas evacuation conduit (5) in the direction of a gas exhaust outlet (8) outside the pumping system. The pumping system comprises a non-return valve (6) positioned between the gas discharge outlet (4) and the gas exhaust outlet (8), and an auxiliary vacuum pump (7) connected in parallel to the non-return valve. In a pumping method by means of this pumping system (SP), the main vacuum pump (3) is started up in order to pump the gases contained in the vacuum chamber (1) and to discharge these gases through its gas discharge outlet (4), simultaneously to which the auxiliary vacuum pump (7) is started up. Moreover the auxiliary vacuum pump (7) continues to pump all the while that the main vacuum pump (3) pumps the gases contained in the vacuum chamber (1) and / or all the while that the main vacuum pump (3) maintains a defined pressure in the vacuum chamber (1).

System for exchanging ptt messages for brief multi video conferences

The invention relates to a system which can be used for exchanging short multimedia messages between two or more users. The system is used, without distinction, for client-server implementations (31, 32, 33) or for server-free client-client implementations (41, 42). The system has the following essential technical features: (i) the session is established (311, 411) when a first client presses a user button and is ended (313, 413) when said first user releases said button; (ii) at the start of the session (311, 411) a list of all the participants is transmitted; (iii) at the start of the session (311, 411) a global session identifier is transmitted; (iv) the clients receiving a PTT message sent by the aforementioned first client optionally reply after receiving said list and identifier.

Fluidic rotor having orientable blades with improved blade control

In a rotating machine having a fluidic rotor, the rotor comprises at least one blade mounted on an arm rotating about a rotor shaft forming a main axis of the rotor, the rotor being kept by a supporting structure in an orientation such that said axis is substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow of the fluid, the blade being mounted so as to pivot about an axis of rotation of the blade parallel to the main axis. The machine comprises means for generating a relative oscillation movement of the blade with respect to the arm at the axis of rotation of the blade, in order in this way to vary the inclination of the blade during the rotation of the rotor. Said means comprise, at the arm end, a mechanism comprising a first rotating element (A; B) known as the drive element and a second rotating element (B; A) known as the driven element, the elements being mounted on mutually parallel axes of rotation and separated by an inter-axis distance, the orientation of the drive element being controlled depending on the orientation of the rotor shaft while the orientation of the driven element determines the orientation of the blade, one of the rotating elements comprising a finger (D) spaced apart from its axis of rotation and the other rotating element comprising a groove (C) which receives the finger and in which the finger can slide. Application notably to wind turbines, to marine turbines and to nautical and aircraft propellers.
