The invention relates to a library of 298 peptides useful for formulating a novel therapeutic HIV vaccine. The peptide sequences were selected on the basis of calibration of molecular structure properties of HIV-1 or host cell proteins. A mixture of D- and L-amino acids or all D-amino acids are used to synthesize the stereoisomer peptides for the purpose of increasing their stability.
