A compound called NATURA, which is a derivative of Isoindigo is useful in aiding the general health of a patient and specifically is beneficial in preventing or treating cancer. This compound and other related Isoindigo, Indigo and Indirubin derivatives are designed such that the bioactivity or bioavailability of the compound is increased. Methods of synthesizing these derivatives is also taught. In addition, pharmaceutical compositions that include a therapeutically effective amount of at least one of these derivatives and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A method for the use of these pharmaceutical compositions and compounds is taught, wherein a therapeutically effective amount is administered to an animal having solid tumor cancer. The pharmaceutical composition or compound can be re-administered to the animal until a desired treatment or result is accomplished.

Method for recycling bipseudoindoxyl dye from indigo dyeing waste water

The invention discloses a method for recycling an indigo dye from the indigo waste coloring water. In the method, a proper filtration fabric is selected first for filtering the fibers and impurities in the waste water; then an acid liquid is added into the waste water the fibers and impurities of which are removed to adjust the pH value between 2 and 7; air is blown for oxidation to oxidize sodium salt of a water-soluble indigo leuco body into an insoluble solid indigo dye; finally the indigo dye and a condensed liquid which is rich in the dye are obtained through a microfiltration membrane device. The method has the advantages of less investment and simple device; the recycled indigo dye and the recycled condensed liquid can be recycled for coloring a fabric; besides, after the indigo waste coloring water is treated by the membrane, the chroma, the turbidity and the COD, and the like, are greatly reduced. The removing rate of effluent color dilution after the membrane treatment is larger than 98 percent; the turbidity is reduced by more than 97 percent and the COD removing rate is larger than 30 percent.

The method solves the problem of activity of indigo paste, provides dyes for batik, and lays down a foundation for developing batik products.

The present invention relates to a new post-treatment process for an indigo blue oxidation filter cake obtained in an oxidation work section during an indigo blue dye production process. The process comprises that: an indigo blue oxidation filter cake in a plate frame with no washing or proper washing is taken out and placed into a stirring kettle; a proper amount of dilution water is poured; an acid substance is added while stirring to carry out a complete neutralization reaction, wherein the acid substance comprises four substances such as hydrogen chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and carbon dioxide and concurrently comprises aqueous solutions of the four substances; and the neutralization reaction produces corresponding salts, and a filtration method is adopted to separate the salts and the indigo blue, wherein the indigo blue is slightly washed and is added to a finished product work section, the salts can be treated by adopting targeted methods according to the added different acids, hydroxides can be recovered from carbonates by adopting a causticization method, hydroxides can be recovered from chlorides by adopting an electrolysis method, and sulfates and phosphates can be sold after refinement. According to the invention, alkali consumption can be substantially reduced, an indigo blue yield can be increased, and the total amount of wastewater can be reduced.
