Skin engaging member for razor blade assembly

The present invention relates to a skin engaging member for use in a razor blade cartridge assembly or shaving systems of the wet shave type comprising an elongated flexible sheath region and at least one elongated, rigid core region. The core region is surrounded by the sheath such that the outer surface of the core does not intersect the outer surface of the sheath. Generally, the core or cores extend axially throughout the sheath and provide sufficient mechanical strength and rigidity to provide adequate mechanical strength and rigidity to provide adequate mechanical strength to the entire skin engaging member, as initially produced, during the shaving operation and after a significant amount of shaves.

Shaving system

InactiveUS6944952B1High mechanical strengthImproved shaving aid release characteristicMeasurement devicesPhysics instrumentsWater insolubleRigid core
A shaving unit that comprises at least one blade and a skin engaging member that has a surface for engaging the user's skin adjacent the blade edge. The shaving unit may be of a disposable cartridge type adapted for coupling to and uncoupling from a razor handle or may be integral with a handle so that the complete razor is discarded as a unit when the blade or blades become dulled. The blade edge (or edges) cooperate with skin engaging surfaces to define a shaving geometry. The skin engaging member is comprised on an elongated sheath (or skin engaging layer) made of a mixture of water insoluble matrix and an effective amount of shaving aid and a rigid core (or non-skin engaging layer) extending axially through out said sheath. The axial position of the core need not be through the central axis.

Engineered Molded Fiberboard Panels. Methods of Making the Panels, and Products Fabricated From the Panels

A honeycomb-shaped panel is formed from a plurality of generally sinusoidally shaped strips of molded fiberboard material each having spaced, oppositely directed flat peaks, the peaks of adjacent strips being secured together to form a plurality of hexagonally shaped cells extending perpendicular to the surfaces of the sheet. The strips may be cut from a single sheet of corrugated fiberboard sheet material and then secured together to form the honeycomb panel, or a plurality of such panels may be secured together face to face with their ribs aligned to form a stack, and selected cuts may be made through the secured, stacked panels to form a plurality of honeycomb panels of desired surface shape and height dimensions. The strips forming the cells are substantially rigid and resistant to collapse of the cells, and form a substantially rigid core when assembled between two flexible fiberboard skins, while the panel is bendable to adopt a desired panel curvature.

Disclosed is a robust tactile sensor array that mimics the human fingertip and its touch receptors. The mechanical components are similar to a fingertip, with a rigid core surrounded by a weakly conductive fluid contained within an elastomeric skin. It uses the deformable properties of the finger pad as part of the transduction process. Multiple electrodes are mounted on the surface of the rigid core and connected to impedance measuring circuitry within the core. External forces deform the fluid path around the electrodes, resulting in a distributed pattern of impedance changes containing information about those forces and the objects that applied them. Strategies for extracting features related to the mechanical inputs and using this information for reflexive grip control.

An earplug of the type that includes a soft foam body (14) and a more rigid core (16) that stiffens the body during its insertion into the ear canal, is mass produced so the front end (30) of the stiff core cannot rub along the surface of the ear canal during insertion. Structure of silicon micromachine resonant micro-pressure sensor chip and its manufacturing method

The invention discloses a structure of two resonant micro pressure sensor chips and a method of manufacturing the same. The structure of two resonant micro pressure sensor chips comprises a pressure inductive diaphragm with one or two rigid cores, a double-end clamped support beam and a cover plate 3. Under the function of fluid pressure, the diaphragm with rigid cores deforms to exert the double-end clamped support beams on the surface of the diaphragm to change resonant frequency upon the function of axial stress. Fluid pressure can be reflected by measuring the change in the resonant frequency of the double-end clamped support beam. The silicon resonant micro pressure sensor of the invention has higher signal-to-noise ratio, resolution, sensitivity and measurement precision and the output of the invention is the frequency signal.

The invention belongs to the technical field of printed circuit boards and discloses a semi-flexible circuit board and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method includes manufacturing of a rigid auxiliary board, manufacturing of a semi-flexible core board, laminating of a main board, manufacturing of an outer layer of the main board and a windowing procedure. Manufacturing of the rigid auxiliary board includes: (1) manufacturing an inner-layer circuit of a rigid core board; (2) adopting a flowing type prepreg for laminating the rigid core board to make the rigid auxiliary board, and pressing the prepreg and temporary copper foils onto a surface, adjacent to the semi-flexible core board, of the inner-layer circuit; (3) removing the temporary copper foils by etching; (4) milling grooves. In the procedure of laminating of the main board, the rigid auxiliary board and the semi-flexible core board are laminated by the aid of a non-flow type prepreg. Therefore, a dielectric layer between the rigid auxiliary board and the semi-flexible core board is made by means of twice lamination, interlayer binding force between the rigid auxiliary board and the semi-flexible core board is guaranteed while glue overflowing in a semi-flexible area is reduced, and the problem of proneness to glue overflowing in the prior art is solved.
