Method and Apparatus for Correcting an Error in the Co-Registration of Coordinate Systems Used to Represent Objects Displayed During Navigated Brain Stimulation

An error in the co-registration of a coordinate system used to represent a head of a subject in image data with a coordinate system used to represent the location of trackers affixed to the scalp surface of the head and a tracked device, such as a transcranial magnetic stimulation (“TMS”) induction coil device, is corrected using information representative of the actual distance between the tracked device and the scalp of the subject, such that representations of the tracked device and the subject's head are accurately shown on a display of a navigated brain stimulation (“NBS”) system tracking movement of the tracked device in relation to the subject's head. The correction of the error in the co-registration is performed without collecting additional tracking information from trackers on a tracked TMS coil device and the head, which avoids interrupting NBS using the TMS coil device.

Method and apparatus for combined gamma/x-ray imaging in stereotactic biopsy

The invention relates generally to biopsy needle guidance which employs an x-ray / gamma image spatial co-registration methodology. A gamma camera is configured to mount on a biopsy needle gun platform to obtain a gamma image. More particular, the spatially co-registered x-ray and physiological images may be employed for needle guidance during biopsy. Moreover, functional images may be obtained from a gamma camera at various angles relative to a target site. Further, the invention also generally relates to a breast lesion localization method using opposed gamma camera images or dual opposed images. This dual head methodology may be used to compare the lesion signal in two opposed detector images and to calculate the Z coordinate (distance from one or both of the detectors) of the lesion.

Co-registration - simultaneous alignment and modeling of articulated 3D shapes

Present application refers to a method, a model generation unit and a computer program (product) for generating trained models (M) of moving persons, based on physically measured person scan data (S). The approach is based on a common template (T) for the respective person and on the measured person scan data (S) in different shapes and different poses. Scan data are measured with a 3D laser scanner. A generic personal model is used for co-registering a set of person scan data (S) aligning the template (T) to the set of person scans (S) while simultaneously training the generic personal model to become a trained person model (M) by constraining the generic person model to be scan-specific, person-specific and pose-specific and providing the trained model (M), based on the co registering of the measured object scan data (S).

Method for co-registering and displaying multiple imaging modalities

A method for processing angiography image data by using an imaging catheter path that is directly detected from the angiography data as a co-registration path or using detected marker locations from the angiography data to generate a co-registration path. If the acquired angiography data includes synchronized cardiac phase signals and a predetermined quantity of angiography image frames not including contrast media, then a directly detected imaging catheter path is used as the co-registration path. Otherwise the co-registration path is determined based upon detected marker locations from the angiography image data.

Devices, systems, and methods to emphasize regions of interest across multiple imaging modalities

One or more devices, systems, methods and storage mediums for optical imaging medical devices, such as, but not limited to, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), single mode OCT, and / or multi-modal OCT apparatuses and systems, and methods and storage mediums for use with same, for viewing, controlling, updating, and emphasizing multiple imaging modalities are provided herein. One or more embodiments provide at least one intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI), method, device, apparatus, system, or storage medium to comprehend information, including, but not limited to, molecular structure of a vessel, and to provide an ability to manipulate the vessel information. In addition to controlling multiple imaging modalities, the GUI may operate for one or more applications, including, but not limited to, expansion / underexpansion (e.g., for a stent) and / or apposition / malapposition (e.g., for a stent), co-registration and imaging.
