steel ball displacement type automatic
energy storage power station and a working method. The
power station comprises gravity steel balls, a
tower erected on a hillside, a ball lifting net rack, a bearing steel cable, a high-position ball storage field, a low-position ball storage field, a generator driven by a
transmission system and the like. Based on the difference of peak-valley
electricity prices, the gravity steel balls are lifted to the high-position ball storage field through the ball lifting net rack by utilizing
electric energy at a low
electricity price, the gravity steel balls fall down from the high position during the peak period of
electricity utilization, the generator is driven to rotate to generate
electric power when the steel balls fall down, the energy is converted between
potential energy and
electric energy of the gravity steel balls, and the purpose of storing abundant
electric energy is achieved. Due to the fact that the steel balls are firm, reliable, stable in structure and free of
weight loss during vertical conveying and storage, the
energy conversion efficiency is much higher than that of
water pumping energy storage,
battery energy storage,
compressed air energy storage,
flywheel energy storage and electrolytic
hydrogen production energy storage under construction at present, the construction cost and the site requirement are low, and the
power station is suitable for industrial
modular construction and operation and meets national energy storage requirements and national condition resources.
