A time box system is established at the intersection, and a traffic information lamp group is controlled by writing a program for automatically controlling the information lamp group through an electronic program, so that a left-turning vehicle queue in a time box completes left-turning travel in all time of a straight-going vehicle queue which runs in the box. The method has the advantages that (1) straight-going time is changed into or the same as left-turning time through an automatic control function of the electronic program, so that the left-turning time lane which can replace a left-turning flyover is constructed, the left-turning vehicle queue and the straight-going vehicle queue can synchronously cross the intersection without interfering with each other, and the world problem of urban traffic congestion caused by intersection congestion is effectively solved; and (2) the left-turning time lane has the function of the left-turning flyover, so that the number of the left-turning flyovers constructed in numerous cities can be reduced, and great economic and social benefits are achieved.
